Hello Hive

This was how my baby sis rocked her traditional wear to church today.

A very pleasant Sunday to us all. I believe that we had a wonderful Sunday service and are enjoying a good time at home. We have also just returned from a 5hours service that was highly impactful. And guess what it is out thanksgiving service in church and everyone was beautifully dressed in their cultural attire.

Every last Sunday of the month is often a thanksgiving Sunday to appreciate God for seeing us through the month and you know my country people with their love and passion for culture. Incorporating the beauty of cultural dressing into our devices often makes the entire congregation comely.

I wasn’t left out if the fun too as I decided to adorn myself in some beautiful cultural wear. Having gotten my outfit ready at about yesterday evening my baby sister came after me to make something for her.

It was already late as at the time to see a new outfit hence I decided to recycle one of my dresses for her after all my re-emerges is growing so fast and now wear almost thesame sizes of outfit as me

of outfit as mine

This off shoulder dress was sewn when I barely had enough knowledge of fashion, due to the fact that I was unable to calculate the measurements well the chest line became so bad that it sometimes reveals the cleavage each time one wears the cloth

We didn’t have any single piece of the fabric left over at home hence I purchased this organza fabric and decided to add some finishing touches to the dress.

To start with I first of all detached the fabric on the chesline that was pleated but didn’t serve as enough covering

I started by cutting the fabric into two and joining them to make a very long stripe

Next I sewed the fabric and turned it over, creating a neat edges round it.

Having adjusted the dress to her size

I placed the organza on the fabric and began to tag it around the neckline of dress all through to the shoulder front and back bodice.

Next I used needles and threads to create these nice and lovely stitches.

I attached a sleeve of satin to the dress and stitched up the hemlines.

The organza served both as a covering for the neckline, covering the cleavage that will make anyone feel exposed wearing this

And then it gave the dress a more elegant look than what it formally was
