![FindFamily.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmbwA71jYpHH7chDViDZ7ZPAZNU674hLHHRgUbWJ9DjXcg/FindFamily.png) We have entered the time which will be called, looking back, the "Great Migration" Not only will the "immigrants" be making a run for the border, but also, we will see people move to be with their "family", their tribe, their people. We will also be seeing people moving away from the poles. People will group up with others for mutual support and defense. In groups small enough that everyone knows everyone else. That they feel they can rely on the others. We will call these groups "family" (not based on blood, but could be) - - - - - - -

## Cities are not good for people's mental health You really need to spend most of your time around people that you know. Else, your mind is in a constant state of being ready for flight or fight. You never really feel safe when you have millions of people around you that you are not sure of what they will do. It is very important that you have enough time each day where you feel safe. You need to sleep in a place where you feel safe. If you never truly feel safe, you are destroying your body through stress. To feel safe you need to know where your next meal is coming from. It is very stressful if you are not fairly sure that you will have a next meal. Being in a community where everyone grows food. So, you know exactly where your food is coming from, and you have a lot of friends, who will help you out if your garden plot fails. If you do not have support from a "family", you are living in a low level stress every day. If you are living with a job that you could be fired from at any time, you are living in a low level stress every day. If you are… … and a lot of low level stress can make you really stressed out. It is taxing to your system, and even if you sleep, you are never back to full It is REALLY bad for humans to live in a city. It is also quite bad to live completely on your own. (however, many men find this better than any alternative.) - - - - - - -

## The ice-age is here We need a supportive community/tribe/"family" to survive what is coming. There will be many alternatives than to live on the grid. However, the better ones require a decent engineer to keep them running and to repair them. Having a group with at least one of these people will make it far easier for the group to survive. (not everyone is engineer, and in a group, not everyone has to be) Large houses, in which there are many suites for people to live, are far more energy efficient than a whole bunch of single family homes. It minimizes the exterior surface per person. It can magnify the heating by using a large heat sink type fire place. Where the flue goes up twisting through a huge mass of rock/concrete. Greenhouses are much the same. Where you get a lot of efficiency by sharing one exposed side. And this is important because much of the world will be ice, and will need a greenhouse to extend the growing season long enough for the harvest. In many places, there just won't be time enough to plant and harvest. - - - - - - -

## The "immigrants" Many people are upset with the imported 3rd world. They will be going back, even if the govern-cements do nothing. The people, who's bodies are built for warmer weather, and who need a lot of sunlight to make vitamin D through their darkened skin, will move back to these areas. Their bodies will not hold up in the frozen/freezing north. But, even more pressing is that they will need to find their tribe/"family" to survive. If you are a foreigner + outsider + disruptive person, you will not be invited into any "family" And, being on your own will be a sure route to starvation. People who feel they can exist by raiding will find themselves dead. A small community, who is not very near to another community will feel just find putting in traps, and later AI enhanced defense turrets. The defenses will get so good that even large gangs will not be able to continue raiding. (There will also be "family" helping out other "family". And the targeting AI will be trained to destroy on sight. It will be very bad, in the future, to be marked as a bad person. It will not be a bunch of separate, separated communities. They will all be hooked up to the interwebz, and sharing what is happening to them) Unfortunately for the "immigrants" very few will be left to just lazily move back to their origins. Many places will not tolerate them any more, and things will happen to where the "immigrants" are tagged as very, very, very bad. And will be killed on sight. There will be a run for the border, of any who are still alive after the day of the long knives. - - - - - - -

We are about to make a giant shift to living in a way that is much better for humans. And those who find their "family" early, will be much better off. Humans are pack animals. A social species. But, they can only store about 100-150 individual people in their brains. So, people NEED to be in a group, and that group needs to be under, or about 100 people. We need touch. We need connection. The idea of just keeping on as you have been, will fall apart as cities become inhospitable. Our comfortable life of getting in your car and going to work every day is collapsing. The amenities of living in a city are going away. Gas prices and food prices will continue to go up. People will soon have to choose between rent and food. And, at some point, will find that driving to work is more costly than the job pays them. The sooner you realize that your old way of life is a dead end, the sooner you can start focussing on finding your "family". Don't be one of the last people who start looking, because although everyone will form into tribes, the last people will clump together only out of sheer necessity. - - - - - - -
