Antes de llevarse a cabo una extensa jornada de encuentros entre selecciones, La Liga de España ofreció en su séptima jornada uno de los encuentros más llamativos en su torneo; me refiero al derby madrileño entre los clubes más importantes de la capital española; Atlético de Madrid y Real Madrid, en su primer enfrentamiento en la actual temporada, realizaron una actuación lamentable en donde el pobre juego definía el enfrentamiento hasta que el árbitro principal, como los del VAR, decidieron ser los protagonistas para bien y para mal, lo cual, de manera subsiguiente y más que esperada, dicha jornada se cerró con una lamentable rueda de prensa por parte del entrenador del Real Madrid.

En el Estadio Riyadh Air Metropolitano, hogar del Atleti, se disputó un derby que había generado gran expectativa porque era la gran oportunidad para que ambos clubes puedan hacerse fuertes y mantener el ritmo impuesto por el FC Barcelona, que por los momentos ha sumado 7 victorias en las 7 jornadas disputadas, y esa presión era más que importante porque este encuentro exigía alta competitividad por ambos equipos; lamentablemente, tanto Atleti como el Real Madrid decidieron ser muy precavidos, lo cual ofreció a todo público que vio el encuentro una actuación, no diré que miedosa, pero sí con mucho cuidado, lo cual arrojó unos primeros 30 minutos del primer tiempo llenos de aburrimiento y decepción, lo cual cambió de manera radical al momento de aparecer la primera gran polémica del encuentro a causa de una jugada en donde ambos clubes exigían la expulsión primeramente de Bellingham y después del "Cuti" Romero, quien al final terminó siendo el amonestado con tarjeta amarilla, una decisión correcta porque, en mi opinión, no fue evidente una agresión predeterminada hacia un rival, sino una jugada fortuita. A esa jugada le siguió una en donde, bajo la mirada del árbitro principal, el jugador Kang-in Lee pisa el tobillo a Valverde, quien por suerte no terminó lesionado de una manera grave; esa jugada terminó sin sanción, sin amonestación, ni mucho menos sin revisión del VAR, siendo esa la primera gran mancha del encuentro.

En el segundo tiempo, la actuación del árbitro principal, el árbitro madrileño Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias, siguió siendo el protagonista principal al momento de sancionar un claro penal de Huijsen sobre Gio Simeone, lo cual fue precedido por la amonestación con tarjeta amarilla; en esa acción el árbitro acierta, pero también falla, lo cual es desde la sala VAR, quienes le hacen rectificar su decisión y le indican que la amonestación debe cambiarse a tarjeta roja y la expulsión del defensor del Real Madrid. No hay duda de que el encuentro en sí generó emociones, más que nada en el segundo tiempo, en donde lo sucedido en los 45 minutos finales hizo más relevantes los últimos momentos del primer tiempo; en esto señalo lo malo de un derby en donde necesitó del protagonismo arbitral con la polémica que causaron por sus fallos y aciertos; taparon las falencias de jugadores y entrenadores de ambos equipos; justamente ese sería el otro mal factor en este encuentro que a pesar de contar con jugadores de renombre, ninguno tuvo la necesidad de ser relevante, en especial los del Real Madrid como Mbappé, Vinicius y Bellingham, jugadores que están para hacer la gran diferencia y pasaron completamente desapercibidos, ninguno de los tres realizó jugadas de verdadero peligro y es que el Real Madrid tuvo que esperar hasta más de 70 minutos para generar una verdadera ocasión y el gol llegó en los minutos finales del encuentro, siendo esas mínimas ocasiones generadas por jugadores que entraron de cambio, pero como dije anteriormente, la polémica arbitral tapo el mal juego de quienes debieron ser protagonistas, aunque para tapar la mala actuación de los merengues, solamente se necesito de una impresora, una hoja con imágenes de las faltas y sanciones polémicas, más una rueda de prensa y el conocido como "El P*** Amo", Mourinho.
