## Return to Basics: The Simple Push-up ![](https://usermedia.actifit.io/46122A0E-4105-462D-BF81-601A88055A271792589202.555687) A month ago I posted about a visit to Woodside Eatery & Bar in Leeds wherein I needed to use my phone to pay the lunch bill but couldn’t. To be able to use my phone at all, I had to satisfy the exercise hack I had set up, *that is,* put the phone on the floor, get into position, then do 10 pushups. Here’s that crazy post 👉 https://ecency.com/@alessandrawhite/a-story-and-the-creative-work-hour-reminder--wordle-day-28 That was a few weeks ago. I’ve been adding on 1 push-up each week, so now I’m facing the counter on the Pushr app 👉 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pushr-push-up-workouts/id1587610077 every morning to do 14 push-ups. I created the shortcut on iOS from my Awake app to Pushr. I’m not sure that Pushr is available for Android, but there are similar ones on Google Play Store. ![](https://usermedia.actifit.io/46122A0E-4105-462D-BF81-601A88055A271792588252.8506598) But *do* be careful what you wish for with your own aspirations. You, too, might end up in a public place cranking out calisthenics! 😂 ![](https://usermedia.actifit.io/46122A0E-4105-462D-BF81-601A88055A271792588784.221386)
