Hello to everyone in this community and fellow cat lovers! At home, I'm lucky enough to live with two cats: Ying and Cleo, who are practically best friends, although I prefer to think of their relationship as "father and daughter." Ying is over seven years old, and Cleo... I don't think she's even a year old yet, haha. When my sister adopted her a few months ago, she was tiny, so she must have been about three months old or less. But now, Cleo looks huge, almost as long as Ying... though not as big. Ying's weight is the result of years of kibble and love 😙 Although we're sure Cleo will soon get a little plumper as time goes on (we've already noticed she's gained weight since being spayed).

😍 They look like they're forming a heart with their bodies! Isn't that direct proof of how much they love each other? 😍

Since Cleo isn't such a baby anymore (although I still call her "baby"), Ying has given her her own space, so it's normal that during the day or night, each of them is taking their respective nap in their favorite "nest." For example, Cleo likes to sleep in my bed, while Ying prefers my brother's bed. Now, they share a blanket in the living room without any problems, as well as the window area, where they usually lie down to sleep, sunbathe, or gossip about what's happening in the park (like good felines, lovers of gossip 👌).

I admit that, at first, I was quite worried when Ying tried to play with Cleo or lie down next to or on top of her. Because of the size difference, I was afraid he might be a little rough. But, despite everything, Ying is a cat who knows his own strength, and I can assure you that Cleo never seemed intimidated by him, even though he was twice her size. Now, when they lie down together, the scene always melts my heart, and I have to do my best to take the picture without disturbing them. It's a Herculean task, since they're often lying down and wake up immediately when they sense me approaching.

😌 Despite the small space, that's no obstacle to them being together at the window 😌

I imagine that each other's warmth and breathing calm them. Not to mention that they groom each other a lot. Without a doubt, Cleo has been great company for Ying, and I'd even venture to say that he worries when he doesn't see her nearby 😇

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! En casa, tengo la suerte de poder convivir con dos gatos: Ying y Cleo, que podría decirse que son los mejores amigos, aunque me gusta más ver su relación como "padre e hija"; porque Ying es un gato de más de 7 años y Cleo... creo que ni el año tiene jaja cuando mi hermana la adoptó meses atrás, era muy pequeña, así que tendría como unos tres meses o menos. Pero ahora, Cleo se ve enorme, alcanzando casi el mismo largo de Ying... aunque no su contextura. El peso de Ying es el resultado de años de croquetas y amor 😙 Aunque estamos seguros de que Cleo, no tardará en ponerse más gordita con el pasar del tiempo (pues, ya nos hemos dado cuenta de que ha subido de peso, luego de ser esterilizada).

😍 ¡Parece que estuvieran formando un corazón con sus cuerpos! ¿No es prueba directa de lo mucho que se quieren? 😍

Ya que Cleo ha dejado de ser tan bebé (aunque sigo llamándola "la bebesa"), Ying le ha dado su espacio, por lo que es normal que durante el día o la noche, cada quién esté tomando su respectiva siesta en el "nido" que más le guste. Por ejemplo, a Cleo, le gusta más dormir en mi cama, mientras que Ying, prefiere la cama de mi hermano. Ahora, comparten sin problemas una colcha en la sala, así como la zona de la ventana, en dónde suelen acostarse a dormir, llevar sol o a chismear lo que pasa en la plaza (como buenos felinos, amantes del chisme 👌).

Admito que, al principio, me preocupaba mucho cuando Ying buscaba de jugar con Cleo o de acostarse a su lado o encima de ella. Pues, por la diferencia de tamaño, temía que estuviera siendo un poco brusco. Pero, a pesar de todo, Ying es un gato que sabe medir su fuerza y puedo asegurar que en ningún momento se vio que Cleo se sintiera intimidada por él, a pesar de que le doblaba en tamaño. Ahora, cuando se acuestan juntos, la escena siempre acaba por enternecerme y tengo que hacer lo posible por tomar la fotografía sin molestarlos. Es una labor titánica, ya que, muchas veces están acostados y al sentir el acercamiento, se despiertan enseguida.

😌 A pesar del poco espacio, eso no es impedimento para estar juntos en la ventana 😌

Me imagino que el calor y la respiración del otro, los calma. Sin mencionar que se acicalan mucho entre ellos. Sin duda, Cleo ha sido una gran compañía para Ying y me atrevería a decir que hasta se preocupa cuando no la ve cerca 😇
