Enjoying a Hidden Gem: The Clear Waters Of Natural Spring Water
The dry season is a time to think about refreshing destinations. I said this is a hidden gem, but actually, many people have already visited this tourist spot.
It's called "Kali Odo" or Sungai Odo. It's located in Semarang, but far from the city center, so people often refer to it as a hidden gem.
The best way to get here is by motorcycle for easy access. As you approach, the road becomes narrower, surrounded by dense trees. Be careful, the road is slippery.
There's an entrance fee of IDR 10,000. After parking my motorbike, I carefully walked down to the river. A sign reading "Sungai Kali Odo" appeared.
The river flowed crystal clear, a beautiful bluish-green. With its natural spring water, it's no wonder so many visitors come to cool off, especially during the dry season.
I don't think this is actually a river, but rather a flowing spring. It's managed by the locals. Despite the management's intervention, this area has been left natural, with no pools like modern swimming pools.
There are several sections of the spring's flow visible. At the end of the tourist area, there's also a smaller spring with no large pool.
There are several spots we can enjoy. Despite the large number of visitors, the water's clarity remains intact.
The abundance of shady trees makes this area seem untouched by the sun. It was actually a very sunny day, and it was great for swimming.
The water was incredibly cold! And of course, crystal clear. I could see the sand and small fish underneath.
There's also a small stall across the river where we could enjoy snacks or drinks.
There are also seats right in the water. That's exciting!
Meanwhile, someone came by with a brochure offering a Jeep adventure.
Near the river, they showed a Jeep route. They could take us to the mountain area, as it's also close to the mountains and many other attractions.
I simply enjoyed the rest of the day quietly soaking in the refreshing spring water. The clean air. What a precious blessing! What a truly hidden gem, even though it's about 50 km from the city center.

It's a little hidden paradise; the crystal clear water really catches my eye. Taking a dip in this spring must be very relaxing.
Wow so cool to relax with some clear spring refreshing water it's a perfect destination this hot season..
Beautiful tourist spot😍😊
I love that a place like this has managed to stay so natural, despite the large numbers of people and visitors; that the water remains crystal clear all along the route; and that this hidden gem is so well looked after. It’s a truly beautiful spot, with so much greenery, where you can escape the heat and spend a different kind of day out in nature.
I can see right to the bottom of the water and I love that; as well as having full facilities, you can grab a bite to eat and that jeep ride sounds tempting, like a real adventure. I really liked the place, thank you so much for sharing it. Big hugs!!💗

It looks beautiful, but if it's cold, maybe not, heh heh heh... A trip there to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city sounds like a great plan. Thanks for showing us.
