Saludos amigos de la comunidad @hivediy, les deseo un feliz fin de semana, en esta ocasión les comparto un nuevo proyecto elaborado con masa flexible, se trata de una dona de chocolate con chispas de colores, otro trabajo que se suma a los que he moldeado para decorar la nevera, requiere pocos materiales y es un proyecto ideal para aprovechar los sobrantes de masa, por muy pequeños que sean pueden ser de gran utilidad para moldear las chispas de colores, la dona, o la cobertura de chocolate, les muestro el proceso de elaboración.
Greetings friends of the @hivediy community, I wish you a happy weekend. This time I'm sharing a new project made with flexible clay: a chocolate donut with colorful sprinkles. It's another project to add to my collection of creations for decorating the refrigerator. It requires few materials and is an ideal way to use up leftover clay. Even small scraps can be very useful for shaping the colorful sprinkles, the donut, or the chocolate coating. I'll show you the process.

Iniciamos dividiendo la masa en porciones, luego agregamos pintura a cada porción de masa, mezclamos hasta integrar y obtener el color deseado, en este proyecto usaremos los colores, amarillo, rojo y naranja, azul verde, morado y marrón, luego formamos una bola plana de color naranja, que será la base de la dona, alisamos los bordes con la superficie plana y las manos, ya con el tamaño de la dona, haremos un orificio en el centro, usamos la esteca cilíndrica, introducimos poco a poco y con cuidado vamos marcando el círculo, con la misma esteca alisamos los bordes y calculamos que tenga el ancho de aproximadamente un centímetro; cuando la masa flexible seca reduce un poco, un orificio de un centímetro es adecuado para la dona pues al secar no quedará tan pequeño.
We begin by dividing the dough into portions, then we add paint to each portion of dough, mixing until integrated and we obtain the desired color. In this project we will use the colors yellow, red and orange, blue green, purple and brown. Then we form a flat orange ball, which will be the base of the donut. We smooth the edges with the flat surface and our hands. Once it's the size of the donut, we make a hole in the center. Using the cylindrical modeling tool, we insert it little by little and carefully mark the circle. With the same modeling tool, we smooth the edges and estimate that it has a width of approximately one centimeter. When the flexible dough dries, it shrinks a little. A one-centimeter hole is suitable for the donut because when it dries it won't be too small.
Con ayuda del rodillo, estiramos la masa marrón, lo más delgada posible, para hacer la cobertura de chocolate, agregamos pegamento suficiente, cubrimos la dona y antes del secado, con ayuda de la esteca hacemos el orificio, para que quede en el lugar correspondiente introducimos la esteca por la parte de abajo y perforamos la capa de chocolate, alisamos los bordes, revisamos que tenga suficiente pegamento y dejamos secar.
With the help of a rolling pin, we stretch the brown dough as thin as possible to make the chocolate coating. We add enough glue, cover the donut, and before it dries, we use a modeling tool to make the hole. To ensure it's in the correct position, we insert the tool from the bottom and pierce the chocolate layer. We smooth the edges, check that there is enough glue, and let it dry.
Avanzamos y con las masas de color amarillo, azul y rojo, hacemos las chispas de colores, aplanamos lo más delgado posible y formamos pequeñas gotas, las cuales aplanamos en la parte de arriba y afilamos la parte de abajo, con ayuda de la esteca puntiaguda colocamos pegamento y las vamos uniendo a la dona, tratando de cubrir la capa de chocolate.
We move on and, using the yellow, blue, and red dough, we make the colored sprinkles. We flatten them as thinly as possible and form small drops, which we flatten on top and sharpen on the bottom. With the help of the pointed modeling tool, we apply glue and attach them to the donut, trying to cover the chocolate layer.
Luego, con las masas restantes, naranja, verde y morado moldeamos de la misma forma que hicimos en el paso anterior; estiramos las masas lo más delgado que podamos, hacemos cortes pequeños, con los dedos aplanamos y formamos las gotas, nos ayudamos con la superficie plana y vamos redondeando la parte de arriba y afilamos en la otra, en este paso nos podemos ayudar con la esteca puntiaguda y la superficie plana, también con las manos le podemos ir dando forma a estas chispas de colores; al ser piezas pequeñas, debemos pegarlas con mucho cuidado, para ello nos ayudamos con la esteca puntiaguda, colocamos pegamento en cada una de las chispas, las unimos a la dona y presionamos suavemente, revisamos que tengan suficiente pegamento, porque si colocamos una cantidad muy pequeña, se pueden caer durante el proceso de secado, revisamos presionamos que tengan suficiente pegamento y dejamos secar durante dos o tres días.
Next, with the remaining dough—orange, green, and purple—we shape it in the same way as in the previous step. We roll out the dough as thin as possible, make small cuts, flatten it with our fingers, and form the teardrop shapes. Using a flat surface, we round the top and taper the bottom. In this step, we can use the pointed modeling tool and the flat surface, or we can shape these colorful sprinkles with our hands. Since they are small pieces, we must glue them very carefully. To do this, we use the pointed modeling tool, apply glue to each sprinkle, attach them to the donut, and press gently. We check that they have enough glue, because if we use too little, they may fall off during the drying process. We check again, press to ensure they have enough glue, and let them dry for two or three days.
