Dragonball x Highschool Rivals - Manga Cover Contest Entry

This time @cobmaximus chose an anime which I watched a lot as kid: Dragon Ball (Z). You can find his current contest here.
Well, actually he chose the manga, not the anime, to be 100% correct. It is this cover (from the Namek arc):

The cover shows Vegeta in the foreground looking at Kakarot in the background. The theme is:

(Dunno why @cobmaximus speaks of rivalry here. It's total bromance :D)

Well, my entry is the following picture (drawn in MediBang Paint Pro)

It is a cover of a highschool magazine published by Doge Bugle ("Bring me pictures of spider-meme!"). The magazine deals with various serious subjects (like hair styles :D).

The next issue will tell how to wear potaras the cool way... aaand WHERE you can put/pierce a potara Ó.ò revealing interviews + shocking grapichal material -> very parental advisory, such mature content, much controversary!

As usual here comes the step-by-step description of the drawing process:

  1. a rough sketch with stick figures
  2. hmmm, what could I do to fit the contest theme and to appear funny? Gender bender the beloved anime characters!
  3. add some colors
  4. add some highlights and shadows
  5. add some magazine stuff
  6. Voilá! Le cover de la magazine est finally finit
    I don't really speak french, if someone from the Frech community reads this, pls don't get offended...
    It's just that French give the whole thing a more artistic touch. Which I couldnt achieve with my german:
    "Also! Das Deckblatt des Wochenblatts ist schlussendlich fertig".
    You see? It is just not the same ;) Merovingian said it already in Matrix II

...Well, whatever.
