Hello Holozing community! I'm back again to share my latest fan art. This time it's Panyang's turn, since I recently embroidered Panyin, and I decided to finish both pandas. I really like this character and he reminds me of the movie Kung Fu Panda; it's impossible not to think of that iconic character when you see him.

Panyang has a tougher, more determined, and battle-ready look compared to Panyin, who is pure cuteness. I loved the yin and yang symbol integrated into his body and the combination of their names; I wouldn't have thought of it, they have a very unique style.

Hola, comunidad Holozing, una vez más me encuentro por acá para compartirles mi último fanart. En esta ocasión le llegó el turno a Panyang, pues como recientemente había bordado a Panyin, decidí terminar los dos pandas. Este personaje me gusta mucho y me recuerda a la película Kung Fu Panda; es que es imposible no pensar en ese personaje tan reconocido al verlo.

Panyang tiene una mirada más dura, decidida y lista para la batalla en comparación con Panyin, que es pura ternura. Me encantó el símbolo del yin y el yang integrados en su cuerpo y la mezcla de los nombres; no se me hubiera ocurrido, tienen un estilo muy particular.

🐼Step by step // Paso a paso🐼

Panyang is a large character, and since I had embroidered Panyin a few days ago, I didn't have enough black thread to finish him, so I decided to only embroider the upper part. I'll keep this in mind for when I have everything I need to embroider the whole body. On a piece of paper, I traced the inner outline of the embroidery hoop I was going to use this time, which was a bit smaller to save thread. Then I drew the character inside the circle; this would allow me to make it the right size. Using carbon paper, I transferred the drawing to the fabric and went over all the lines with a pen to improve the visibility of the drawing, as they are very light with just the carbon paper. Afterward, I placed the fabric in the embroidery hoop so that it was taut.

Panyang es un personaje grande y, como había bordado a Panyin hace unos días, no tenía suficiente hilo negro como para terminarlo, por lo que decidí solo bordar la parte superior; ya lo tendré en cuenta para cuando tenga todas las condiciones para bordar de cuerpo entero. En una hoja de papel, marqué la silueta interior del aro de bordar que iba a utilizar en esta ocasión, que fue un poco más pequeño para ahorrar hilo. Luego dibujé al personaje en el interior del círculo; esto me permitiría hacerlo del tamaño adecuado. Con un papel carbón transferí el dibujo a la tela y con un bolígrafo repasé todas las líneas para mejorar la visibilidad del dibujo, pues solo con el papel carbón quedan muy claras. Posteriormente, coloqué la tela en el aro de bordar de tal forma que quedara bien estirada.

Using only three strands of black embroidery floss, I stitched all the lines of the drawing to achieve a better final result; this way, Panyang's features are much more distinct and the details of his face gain more visual impact. I like doing this step because later, when I fill it in with other colors, each part is much more defined; sometimes it's a little more complicated, but it looks better.

Con solo tres hebras del hilo de bordar de color negro, fui bordando todas las líneas del dibujo para obtener un mejor resultado final; de esta forma los rasgos de Panyang se distinguen mucho mejor y los detalles de la cara ganan más fuerza visual. Me gusta hacer este paso porque luego, al rellenar con otros colores, se ve cada parte mucho más definida; a veces es un poco más complicado, pero se ve mejor.

With brown and pink thread I made some small stitches to embroider the eyes and the nose.

Con hilo carmelita y rosa hice unas pequeñas puntadas para bordar los ojos y la nariz.

You might be wondering why Panyang is embroidered in gray when it should really be black. This was a major problem before I started. For one thing, I didn't have much black thread, and for another, and I think this is more important, if I had embroidered all this gray part with black thread, the eyes, the expression, wouldn't have looked right, as the black area of ​​the face would have blended with the eyes, and this part wouldn't have been well-defined. For these reasons, I decided to do it in dark gray; I hope you like it. And unfortunately, I didn't have enough of this gray thread to completely fill in the bottom part either, as you can see. After finishing with this color, I started with white thread for the face.

Se preguntarán por qué Panyang está bordado con color gris cuando realmente debería ser negro. Esto fue un gran inconveniente antes de comenzar. Por una parte, no tenía mucho hilo negro y, por otra, que creo es lo más importante, si bordaba toda esta parte gris con el hilo negro, los ojos, la mirada, no hubiese quedado bien, pues se mezclaría la zona negra de la cara con los ojos y esta parte no quedaría bien definida. Por estas razones decidí hacerlo de color gris oscuro; espero les parezca bien. Y con tan mala suerte que no me alcanzó tampoco este color gris para rellenar completamente la parte de abajo, pueden notarlo. Luego de terminar con este color, comencé con el hilo blanco para la parte de la cara.
