The Great Mosque of Sana’a is located in the Old City of Sana’a and like the Historic Town of Zabid, Sana’a City, in its entirety is among of the cities in the world listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Anyway, we will take about the Sana’a later as it is one of the most famous attractions in Yemen.

It is believed that the Great Mosque of Sana’a was founded in the 7th century and for it to still be functioning to this day is absolutely amazing. It has undergone several restoration projects and at one time, an early Qur’an script was excavated.
