This is a snapshot of an average day with my best bud Tiny T at Levi Carter Park in Omaha Nebraska.

As I mentioned in my 1st run post, my goal is 8 min miles for my daily 5k run. To do that I have to increase the distance I can handle and my pace to become better at the shorter distances.

For each run I try to increase the distance . 05 miles, which in my city is about one light post on a busy street. So far and since it's not an exact science, I'm averaging an extra half mile per week. I'm not sure why I'll decide to top out at yet, but when that distance comes I'll know.

I'd keep on talking, but I'm pretty sure very few will visit this post, so until next time my friends.

Solid run.

Thanks for reporting the issues you found.

I have spent the night fixing what I can. Here is what we did:

Run posts not showing in the Run feed

This has been fixed and deployed.

Run posts should now appear in the Run feed and in “My Runs” after they are published. We also checked your run and confirmed it is now returned by the Run feed.

Liketu URLs not showing rich previews on PeakD/Snapie

We investigated this one carefully.

Liketu is already serving the correct preview metadata for the reported post URLs, including title, description, image, and canonical URL data. We also improved Liketu’s own published post body format so it is more compatible with other Hive frontends.

What remains: PeakD Snaps and Snapie do not seem to generate rich previews for all normal OpenGraph links. They appear to only render rich previews for certain known providers or Hive URL patterns. So Liketu links may still appear as plain links there unless PeakD/Snapie add support for Liketu post URLs.

The next action is to ask PeakD/Snapie to recognize Liketu URLs such as:

https://liketu.net/@user/permlink

and

https://liketu.net/post/user/permlink

as Hive post links.

Drafts not available between app and desktop

This has been fixed and deployed.

Drafts are now saved through the server so they can be accessed across app and desktop when the user is signed in.

Trouble posting a run blog / Strava-related run post issue

This has been fixed.

We fixed the Strava share flow so that sharing a Strava activity into Liketu opens the Run composer correctly, even when Strava sends it as an image-style share with a URL attached. We also improved Run post metadata so GPX-style activity data can include useful split data like per-km pace, time, and heart rate when available.

The reason why it is a bit fiddly to share Strava is that what we're actually doing is downloading the GPX file from the strava activity. Then, we parse that.

Strava doesn't always emit the right url shape. When viewing a run on the desktop, and just copying the url, that is usually the correct url shape. If you're sharing from the app, then it is usually a shortened link and a deep link to their app.

We sidestepped a lot of this by letting you share directly to the liketu app when you are in strava (you can share an activity and open up a share sheet and look for the liketu native app if you've installed it)

This auto populates the run composer and then should allow you to make a run post.

Holy crap, that was fast and I never expected a reply. Thank you for all that. I did need to download the GPX file from Strava for it to sync on desktop, but the link worked fine in your app, other than it added title text in front of the url that doesn't show in the url text window unless you slide the cursor to the left to reveal it. I will pay attention when composing my next run post if this is still happening. I'm sure it is Strava's fault though. Once it is deleted the link works just fine. I am sorry to have assumed that the URL rendering was on your side. Peakd and Snapie need to do better, because all links matter😁

So I have to thank you for diligently reporting the bugs. It's been very helpful. I do try and get on top of it because it's not nice to have these wonderful features which then break or don't work properly. As you can imagine, if they did work properly, it is a very feature comprehensive app and I'm very excited to push it as far as I can. So I will be paying attention to everything that not only you report but just everyone, and I'll try and work it out as quick as I can.
