Ripley's Progress
Good afternoon, Hive. I know it's been quite a while since I have stopped in. I hope that all my readers are doing well and enjoying their fur friends as much as I do.
This summer my husband found a tiny white kitten laying in the road on the brink of death. He got out of truck to move her off the road.
When he went to move her, he realized she was still living. He came to the house and said he was taking her to the vet to see if she would survive or to have her mercifully put to sleep.
She was 10oz on her first visit, a feral kitten loaded with roundworms. She came with an upper respiratory virus and ear mites. A couple months have passed. Friday we had a vet visit and she still has the upper respiratory virus. The ear mites are controlled, but she has roundworms once more. Good news! She is 2.5 pounds now and very playful. I was sent home with more eyedrops, a probiotic, special diet and a triple antibiotic cream, plus a script for an antibiotic pill.
Ripley is a fun, fearless and sweet kitten. Being fearless (except for motors and loud noises), she has made friends with the dogs, however, Newt my 12 year old rescue is not happy to share his kingdom. I'm hoping that he will warm up eventually.
Here she is today on the porch with me and the dogs. It didn't last long because my son was mowing the lawn which frightened her.
Thank you in advance for reading, liking and sharing.

There you are!
10 ounces! That seems impossible! Thank you for giving her a home and restored health.
Thanks for taking care of this sweet girl. Lawn mowers are undefeated against cats. 😂
They sure are! It's a pleasure. She's a doll baby. Good to see you.
Hello. Yes, I'm still around. Busy, busy all the time. We planted a garden this June and it has had some challenges of late. I hope we can get the asparagus and rubarb to take. My granddaughter had twin boys in November and Ive helped her out and done things with her since my daughter is estranged from the family. The twins are delightful and growing by leaps and bounds! How are you??
You've been curated 🌷
Thank you ❤️
