Revisando la galería de mi teléfono me encontré con estas hermosas fotografías de nuestra última actividad con los pequeños de Iniciación Musical y la Banda Rítmica. Son recuerdos que hoy me llenan el corazón de una profunda nostalgia, pues nadie imaginaba que, apenas unos días después, el terremoto cambiaría nuestros planes e impediría celebrar el cierre de año tan bonito que teníamos preparado.

​Scrolling through my phone gallery, I came across these beautiful photos from our last activity with the children from Musical Initiation and the Rhythmic Band. These memories fill my heart with deep nostalgia today, as no one imagined that, just a few days later, the earthquake would change our plans and prevent us from celebrating the end-of-year event we had so lovingly prepared.

​No fue el final de ciclo que esperábamos y los extraño muchísimo. Extraño sus risas, su curiosidad y esa energía tan viva con la que llenaban cada ensayo. Por eso, tenemos la ilusión de organizar un pequeño compartir con los niños más grandes de la Banda Rítmica, ya que este nuevo año escolar darán un gran paso: pasarán a ejecutar un instrumento formal o a integrarse a las distintas cátedras.

​It was not the end of the school year we expected, and I miss them immensely. I miss their laughter, their curiosity, and the vibrant energy they brought to every rehearsal. Because of this, we really hope to organize a small get-together for the older children of the Rhythmic Band, as this coming school year they will take a big step forward: transitioning to play formal instruments or joining different program departments.

​Aunque esta pausa fue abrupta e imprevista, la música nos mantiene unidos a la distancia. En nombre de Dios, en septiembre estaremos de vuelta para reencontrarnos, abrazarnos y seguir construyendo juntos este camino lleno de melodías. Les comparto estas imágenes de nuestro último concierto que me recuerdan la magia de lo que hacemos. ¡Nos vemos muy pronto!

​Although this break was abrupt and unexpected, music keeps us connected across the distance. God willing, in September we will be back to reunite, embrace, and keep building this path full of melodies together. I share these pictures from our last concert with you, which remind me of the magic of what we do. See you very soon!
