Hive World Cup 2026 on Kicktipp – Looking for Players & Sponsors 🌍🏆

Hive World Cup 2026 - join us

After several Bundesliga tipping seasons on Kicktipp, I am thinking about organizing a traditional FIFA World Cup 2026 prediction game for the Hive community.

This would run in parallel to other awesome football projects already existing on Hive and is NOT meant as competition to them. Ideally people simply enjoy both 🙂

⚽ What is this?

A classic football prediction game hosted on Kicktipp:
👉 predict World Cup match results
👉 climb the leaderboard
👉 answer a few bonus questions
👉 compete with the Hive football community

🏆 How does scoring work?

Points are awarded automatically by Kicktipp for:

  • exact scores
  • correct goal difference
  • correct tendency (win/draw/loss)

Additionally there are a few bonus questions:

  • Who becomes World Champion?
  • Which team produces the tournament top scorer?
  • Which teams reach the semi-finals?

These bonus points are automatically added to the overall leaderboard.

🌟 Matchday Winners

Each tournament phase / matchday also has its own ranking and winner automatically handled via Kicktipp.

This keeps the competition interesting throughout the entire World Cup and not only at the end.

💰 Prize Pool & Sponsors

At the moment there is NO finalized prize pool yet.

I do NOT plan to finance the entire tournament prize structure alone this time 🙂
Hence this post is also a call for:

  • sponsors
  • delegators
  • community support
  • ideas for fair reward structures

Possible rewards could include:

  • overall winner prizes
  • top 3 / top 5 rewards
  • matchday winner prizes
  • random community prizes

Most likely rewards would be paid in:

  • HIVE
  • HBD
  • potentially Hive-engine tokens if sponsors want to contribute such as Medals maybe :-)? @niallon11 @blanchy

🎯 Goal

Simple:
have fun together during the World Cup and build another active Hive football event around the tournament.

Ich hätte es übrigens cool gefunden, wie beim Bundesligatippspiel mit dynamischen Quoten zu spielen, die sich nach den bisher abgegebenen Tipps richten. Dann gäbe es für Außenseitersiege mehr Punkte, was einen gewissen Anreiz böte, nicht immer nur auf die Favoriten zu setzen. Aber wenn dir die konventionelle 4-3-2-Punkteregelung lieber ist, dann lass es natürlich gerne so!

Die finalen Punkteregelungen sind noch gar nicht fix - ich wollte erst mal hören wer mitmachen mag - wollte ich dann in paar Tagen in Angfriff nehmen als Thema - bin nicht so der Experte auf der Admin Site bislang - aber ja würde auch nicht nur 2-3-4 machen wollen

Ich will dir da aber nicht reinreden, wollte nur kurz sagen, was meine persönliche (nicht maßgebliche) Präferenz ist. Warum? Nimm z. B. das Spiel Deutschland gegen Curacao. Da zeigt Oddsportal momentan folgende Quoten: 1,04 für Deutschland, 21,00 für Unentschieden und 80,00 für Curacao.

Da würde bei der konventionellen Tipp-Regelung wirklich jeder auf Deutschland setzen; es wäre also praktisch ein 'Nullspiel', weil alle das Gleiche tippten.

Gäbe es aber tatsächlich 80 Punkte, falls Curacao gewinnt, würde vielleicht der ein oder andere darüber nachdenken, ob sich das vielleicht lohnte ... das Tippspiel würde insgesamt dadurch spannender.

Haha, wenn nicht, frag einfach.

Es gibt übrigens ein Post, in dem ich die Regeln genauer erläutert hatte: Liest du hier.
(Der einzige Unterschied besteht darin, dass du als maximale Quote Zehn wählst, im Bundesligatippspiel ist es die Neun - aber sonst ist alles identisch.)
