A Hard Rockin' Three Tune Tuesday!

Tuesday has snuck up on me yet again! It seems to come faster and faster every week... I guess that's just life! Being Tuesday does mean it's time for another Three Tune Tuesday, which is always a fun post to put together. For some time now I have put together several Tuesday posts in advance, the hard part is picking out which one to use each week. Today I was in the mood for some vintage hard rock, so I went with it!
Whenever I think hard rock, I always think about the old Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's now long since defunct, as nothing ever last forever. I have been collecting Silver Striker tokens for years, which were collectible silver tokens you could win playing the right slot machines. Those machines are pretty much a thing of the past as well, but the tokens are still out there, although becoming harder to find!
One I have been searching for for some time is this one I found on eBay recently. It's in great condition but overpriced, so the search goes on...

From eBay.com
Pretty isn't it? These contain just about 0.6 Troy ounces of pure silver surrounded by a brass ring. @silversaver888 just did a post about them if you want to learn more just click here.
However, before we get going, I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Metallica
These heavy metal legends formed as a band in 1981. It wasn't long before they made a huge following among the hard rock fans in their first two albums, although they weren't hugely commercially successful. That all changed in 1986 with the release of Master of Puppets making them one of the most popular metal bands around. They finally hit the mainstream music world in 1991 with their self titled "Black" album, but some of their older music is among the best. This is the title track of the 1986 album called: "Master of Puppets":

Guns N' Roses
This band was formed in 1985 in Los Angles, California by the merging of two bands, L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. They went on to become one of the top bands in the world and legends of rock n' roll. The good times didn't last forever as in the early 1990's the band fell apart due to heavy substance abuse creating rifts that would last decades.
In their early years they produced some of their best music. Their debut album Appetite for Destruction went on to be considered one of the best rock albums of the 1980's. This song came off that album and is called: "Nightrain"

Quiet Riot
Formed originally in 1973, they struggled to reach any real success in the decade with internal dissention among band members. They re-formed with a new band in 1982, with the only original member being vocalist Kevin DuBrow. In 1983 they released one of the best selling heavy metal albums on the 1980's called Metal Health. The cover of a song by band Slade was a big part of that success, it's called "Cum On Feel The Noize":

That will do it for this Tuesday, and I hope you enjoyed the selections for this Three Tune Tuesday. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It really is deeply appreciated. Have a great day everyone!

Nice Silver Striker Token my friend!👍😊
Our fellow Silver stacker @silversaver888 just put out a post showing that the outer ring, and the Silver inner ring can be taken apart and weighed separately interesting!😇
It's a great post she put together, I even put a link to it in mine! They can come apart, but they're not really meant to be taken apart so it's not always easy. Then they don't go back together well either, so I wouldn't recommend it! lol
I think I'll leave mine in one piece Lol..... we already know approximately how much silver is in each token, I don't want to damage any!!😇
Oh my god, Cum on Feel the Noize - that's a blast from the past! I can hear it my head now, an echo down the decades...
Isn't that a great tune? Once it's in your head it's there to stay! I remember them playing that video over and over on MTV! lol

Yo se tu no prefieres hard rock, te gusta mas la musica romantica?
Te mande un extra "tip"!
It's sad how substance abuse ruined the majority of them. The same thing happened with Black Sabbath, but Ozzy is just lucky he's a pro and was able to make a comeback. Great setlist, Ryan! These are songs I will never get tired of listening to. Let's jam!
Substance abuse was a huge problem in bands back in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It's amazing that Ozzy lived into old age, he was one of the biggest drug abusers of all time... To wake up in the morning he took a handful of drugs and to go to sleep took another handful of drugs, then more drugs and alcohol throughout the day. I'm glad you liked the songs, I'm always up to jam! Have an extra tip!
Hetfield too, lol. His wife left him because of it. He's just lucky his bandmates were more tolerant, perhaps because they saw what happened to Black Sabbath when Ozzy was ousted. I mean, I like Gillan and Dio, but things were completely different when the Madman was fronting them. Thanks for the tip, Ryan. Appreciate it. 💕
Wow. Just brought back my teenage years. Some memories with each of those jams.
They really do don't they? The music these bands produced back in 80's was amazing!

I remember visiting the Hard Rock Cafe in Toronto a long long time ago. I also remember visiting the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas a few times. We even spent some time at the pool in a cabana for a bachelor party one summer.
It's a shame the Vegas hotel and casino failed, but it's hard place to stay competitive! At least the Cafes are still around. Vegas is a great place for a bachelor party though, nothing quite like it! lol
It was kind of in a weird spot too. Like if I remember right it was a little off the strip near the Hoffbrau House.
It was an odd location which probably didn't help it in the long run. They were counting on name recognition alone, but if you aren't on the Strip in Vegas you will have a tough time surviving the bigger, better resorts on the Strip!
I'm actually reading a book now that came out when the Mirage was brand new and it's funny hearing them talk about how big and great it was. Especially now that other bigger and greater casinos have come along.
I’ve seen all 3 multiple times. Great shows!!!
!pimp
I've seen them all too, all put on a great show! It's too bad Quiet Riot is down to only only one original member with Kevin DuBrow and Frankie Banali both dying, it's not quite the same anymore!

That silver token looks very cool
I still play Guns N' Roses songs to this date
Rocking Tunes my brother!!!!
Here’s an extra special 10 HSBI tip for ya!!!!!
