Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. I sincerely hope your Saturday is a time of calm—the kind that rejuvenates both body and spirit. Mine certainly will be. I’ve decided to devote it entirely to rest and relaxation, as I deserve, because this week was packed with responsibilities, work, and early mornings that have taken their toll. Even so, every day had its bright spots, and those are always worth sharing.
Yesterday, to wrap up the workweek, we were working at the Sunsol Ecoland hotel. As usual, we got up very early, taking advantage of the cool morning air and that radiant sun that heralds a good day. We took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, a road I’ve mentioned to you before and that, personally, I love driving on. It has something special—a natural beauty that speaks for itself: the hills lining the road, the blue sky with its radiant beauty, and that silence broken only by the wind. These are landscapes with a touch of magic because they have the gift of relaxing you and dispelling worries and stress.
Feliz descanso para todos. De corazón deseo que su sábado sea un espacio de calma, de esos que reparan el cuerpo y también el ánimo. El mío, sin duda, lo será. Decidí dedicarlo por completo a descansar y relajarme como corresponde, porque esta semana estuvo cargada de responsabilidades, trabajo y madrugadas que se sienten en los hombros. Aun así, cada día dejó algo bueno, y eso siempre vale la pena contarlo.
Ayer, para cerrar la semana laboral, estuvimos trabajando en el hotel Sunsol Ecoland. Como de costumbre, nos levantamos muy temprano, aprovechando el clima fresco de la mañana y ese sol radiante que anuncia un buen día. Tomamos la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, una vía que ya les he mencionado antes y que, en lo personal, me encanta transitar. Tiene algo especial, una naturaleza que habla por sí misma; los cerros al borde de la vía, el cielo azul con una radiante belleza, y ese silencio que solo se rompe con el viento. Son paisajes con un toque mágico porque tienen el don de relajar y disipar las preocupaciones y menciones.
I love walking down that avenue. Its rocky hills accompany us for most of the way, like silent guardians watching over those of us who pass by. Between the beauty of the landscape and our morning conversations, the walk feels short and pleasant. And so, almost before we know it, we arrive at our destination.
Me fascina recorrer esa avenida. Sus cerros de piedras nos acompañan durante gran parte del trayecto, como guardianes silenciosos que observan el paso de quienes la cruzamos. Entre la belleza del paisaje y nuestras conversaciones matutinas, el camino se hace corto y agradable. Así, casi sin darnos cuenta, llegamos a nuestro destino.
They were already waiting for us at the hotel to disinfect the main tank. We went up to it to carry out our usual routine, and we didn’t come back down until all the parameters were where they should be. It’s a job that requires patience and precision, but when done right, it’s very rewarding.
En el hotel ya nos estaban esperando para realizar la desinfección del tanque principal. Subimos hasta él para cumplir con nuestra rutina habitual, y no bajamos hasta que todos los parámetros estuvieron como debían estar. When we were done, I took advantage of the nice weather and the team’s high spirits to take some photos. The sun bathed everything in a beautiful light, and the setting invited me to capture every detail.

After saying goodbye, we set off for the city, which is quite a distance from the hotel. However, we had to go to the Zoom office, located in the Sambil shopping center, to pick up a package.
Después de despedirnos, emprendimos camino hacia la ciudad, que queda bastante distante del hotel. Sin embargo, teníamos que ir hasta la oficina de Zoom, ubicada en el centro comercial Sambil, para retirar una encomienda.
This time it was about the ink for our printer. Even though it hadn’t run out yet, we decided to replace it before that happened. We picked up the package without any problems, which is why we like that office so much: they work efficiently, even though it’s a bit far from home.
Esta vez se trataba de las tintas de nuestra impresora. Aunque aún no se habían agotado, preferimos reponerlas antes de que eso ocurra. Retiramos la encomienda sin contratiempos, y por eso nos gusta tanto esa oficina: trabajan con eficiencia, incluso si nos queda un poco lejos de casa.
With our ink in hand, we headed home, once again enjoying the scenery that this bountiful weather has to offer. Along the way, we came across a truck selling cantaloupe, and, of course, we couldn’t resist the temptation. They looked juicy, with a deep red color that practically begged us to buy them. It was a brief stop, but one of those that brightens your day.
Con las tintas en mano, tomamos rumbo a casa, disfrutando nuevamente de los paisajes que este clima tan generoso nos regala. En el camino nos encontramos con un camión que vendía patillas —melón— y, claro, no pudimos resistir la tentación. Se veían jugosas, de un color rojo intenso que prácticamente invitaba a comprarlas. Fue una parada breve, pero de esas que alegran el día.
And that’s how our day ended. It was a simple, productive day, full of those little moments that make everyday life special. I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about our daily lives—those little details that are part of our routine and that I love sharing with you.
