Added Plants to my Tiny Graden: Wednesday Walk

My tiny garden is comprised of plants that thrive in very sunny and hot environment. For the most part, they are succulents.

I suspect that this Aloe juvenna.

Jade plant.

Aeonium arboreum

Air plants too.

These are called Tillandsia.

At the base of the Tree Rose...

and hanging on the side of the pot.

Air plants (Tillandsia spp.) are epiphytes, meaning that in nature they grow on other plants, usually on tree branches. There are hundreds of species and varieties of air plants. They usually have strap-shape or slender triangle-shape leaves that grow in a rosette pattern with new growth appearing from the center. Those with silver foliage tend to be the most drought-tolerant; greener types dry out faster. You can also find colorful species, like Tillandsia maxima that can have coral leaves. Most species produce attractive, tubular or funnel-shaped flowers, too. Source

From Hawaii

I brought home three cuttings from Oahu, Hawaii. I figured they would thrive very well here. This is after a week and a half from planting.

Let us take a closer look!

The first cutting...

the second one...

... and the third.

These are plumeria cuttings of different varieties, but they are yellow 😄! I hope they will grow to be viable trees. I intend to plant them further down, in the corners of my backyard.

A little bit of everything. And I live in an apartment. I even have medicinal plants to make infusions. If I had a garden I would have everything, hahaha. 🤗🥰😘

Do you know that succulents help you breathe better and purify the air?
Maybe that is why they are expensive?
Have a pleasant evening, @mitch18

Yes, indeed.
I always take my morning coffee in the backyard (with my laptop). Mornings are so nice especially if you are among these little ones (in pots). Do you know that I notice every new growth? It's really weird, bit they bring me so much joy and smiles. Always a good way to start my day.
And how is your day coming along, @littlebee4 ?

That’s lovely @silversaver888 to be able to have a coffee in the backyard ☕️ Amongst the plants. It is not weird, I’m sure I would notice too. We don’t have a backyard, but we move (unplanned) 5 September. To another rental for 10 month. That one has a garden…
But hopefully after that we have our big move and I can start our own garden… with lots of plants 🌱 everywhere… soon… one day 😊😎🤩 it will happen.
My day was good today, thank you 😊🥰🤗 evening now 23:27h
It’s weekend! Yeah…
Have a great day further and enjoy your weekend 👋🏻☀️💃🏻💃🏻

Lmao ... you took cuttings home with you. You don't know the Old Hawaiian curse about haoles taking shit back ... I thought it only applied to rocks but I see you have volunteered to test the theory with flowers. I love the succulent garden... !pimp

Pele's curse ... well it doesn't apply to flowering trees, hahaha. I wouldn't want to have bad luck, hehehe!
Flowers are good luck!!!!
Cheers 🥂🍻

Don't you just love tending your garden? I think your cuttings are going to do well there based on the growth you're already seeing. There is peace to be had working with plants.😇😁

I have a couple of air plants and my indoor love is African Violets! I've got 6 adult plants and one little itty bitty baby I grew from a leaf cutting. I've got 4 more in a water propagation system with lots of lovely roots. I'll plant them soon. Two of my 6 adults plants are at work and thriving.

I know you will enjoy your Plumeria when you can see them bloom in the years to come! Thanks for sharing sis! Love ya much!🤗😘💖🌸 !LADY

Oh, I can see the plumeria, mature, its leaves swaying in the wind, and teeming with blooms in my backyard. I'll be glancing at them every morning, or when I do barbecues... specially during the weekends. Ahhh... the simple pleasures of life! But I will have to wait patiently, hehehe.
Hugs and kisses, sis 🤗😘💖

A garden with a subtle exotic feel yet simple and lower maintenance.
You just rearrange the pots for a slightly different look on you patio.
Say, didn't you have a little running water decoration?

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

Ummm... oh that fountain? I was going to buy it... but wishful thinking on my part. It's much too large for my taste. But I am still looking! Besides, I had just bought that pool, which incidentally I gave it away just last week. The private pool place I go to is finally open. I might be sorry for giving it away, hahaha... but I used it for two years, and besides, it went to me sorority sister, who needs it more that I will ever do given the three kids she has!
Boy, my responses are getting longer!
Hugs and kisses, sis 🤗

The benefit of succulents is also that they do not require much watering - handy esp. when you are in vacation.

You got it right! But because I have lots of indoor plants, I still have the house sitter come twice every day, of course for my Yorkie StarDust, to water the plants while I was on vacation.
How are you, @noctury ? Are you ready for the weekend?

Yes i am. We just visited mantova today which is very close to our vacation stay and it was great. We visited especially this place: Palazzo Ducale https://maps.app.goo.gl/cE9pkKEUgA92VsDN9 really nice!
We visited a lot of places already so we will use the weekend to relax. In my house we put all plants together on the terrace and use an automatic watering system while we are absent.

Yeah, I've been to Palazzo Ducale!
Do you live close by, or Italy?
I visited I think 3 0r 4 years ago. It was my third trip to Italy.

It is about 3h (by car) to the italian border and 5:30h to the place where we currently stay. Not so close but also not really far. Cool that you also already visited mantova :) i did not expect this ;)

Switch over to succulents, they are water wise, need no extra care required, find a sunny warm spot they normally happy!

PS: Most what you have there I have right here in my garden, way to go. some are edible and/or medicinal. Frangipani/Plumeria on the other hand we find tends to drink too much, even in sub-tropical region, milk sap may be toxic to some.
