In search of my dream bike 🚲 Buscando la bicicleta de mis sueños

A few weeks ago, one of the topics was to show off your dream bike. I got really excited when I read it, as I’ve been wanting a bike for several months and even promised to take part. The weeks went by, but as it’s never too late, here I am.
I’d started saving up to buy a bike with the HBDs I’d earned and managed to save up 300, half the bike’s value at the time, but then a health issue came up and I had to spend it all. 😪😔. The bike I want isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill bike – mine is special 😁 – and I know you’re going to laugh when I say this, but it’s a model made by a Venezuelan motorbike brand called Bera, and they have an electric bike model 😂 in different colours.
This type of bike can be ridden purely by pedalling, or with a little boost from the built-in battery. I want an electric one so I can cover long distances, as I see fit, without dying in the attempt. I think they’re really lovely, modern bikes, and it’s my dream to feel that freedom on two wheels again, but whilst I wait for the one I want, I’d like to share some photos of one of the bike shops and workshops in my area.

Hace varias semanas uno de los temas era mostrar la bicicleta de tus sueños, yo me emocioné al leerla, pues tengo varios meses deseando una bicicleta y hasta me comprometí en participar, las semanas pasaron, pero como nunca es tarde aquí estoy.
Yo había empezado a ahorrar para comprarme una bicicleta con los HBD que me ganaba y llegué a acumular 300 la mitad del valor en ese momento de la bicicleta, pero se me presentó un asunto de salud y tuve que gastarlos. 😪😔. La bicicleta que deseo no es una bicicleta normal y corriente la mía es especial 😁 y sé que te vas a reír cuando lo diga, se trata de un modelo que saco una marca de motos venezolana que se llama Bera y tienen un modelo de bicicleta eléctrica 😂 en distintos colores.
Este tipo de bicicleta se puede usar a puro pulmón y pedal o también usar con un empujoncito que te da la batería que trae incorporada. Yo la quiero eléctrica para manejar grandes distancias según yo y no morir en el intento. Me parecen una bicicleta moderna muy bonita y es mi sueño volver a sentir la libertad en dos ruedas, pero mientras llega la que deseo quiero compartir imágenes de uno de los talleres y ventas de bicicleta en mi localidad.
This shop is very old; I think it was the first of its kind and it’s the first one I remember visiting as a child, and I’m nearly fifty now, so do the maths. Although it’s an old shop, it’s not a very pleasant place to visit; I feel it lacks charm, perhaps organisation; however, they have everything a bike lover could need. They sell wholesale and retail, stock spare parts and accessories, and offer repair and maintenance services.
The day I went, they had several bikes for children and adults, and I particularly liked one: the purple one with a basket on the handlebars. It’s beautiful and reminded me of my first bike as a child. I still like this model, but not as much as the electric one. They don’t sell electric bikes in this sort of shop; to find the one I want, I’ll have to go to a motorbike shop 😆.

Este negocio es muy viejo, creo que era el primero que existió de este rubro y es el primero que recuerdo que visitada de niña y yo estoy cerca de cumplir medio siglo, saquen la cuenta por allí. Aunque es un local viejo no es muy agradable para visitarlo siento que le falta encantó, tal vez organización; sin embargo, tienen todo lo que puede necesitar un amante de las bicicletas, aquí venden al mayor y al detal, venden repuestos, accesorios y hacen servicios de reparación y mantenimiento.
El día que fui tenían varias bicicletas para niños y grandes y me gustó una en especial, la de color violeta con su cesta en el manubrio, es hermosa y me recordó a mi primera bicicleta cuando niña, este modelo me sigue gustando pero no tanto como la eléctrica. En este tipo de negocio no venden las eléctricas, para encontrar la que deseo debo acudir a un negocio de motos 😆.

It all depends on what you want it for, what you’re looking to get out of it. In my case, I wanted to exercise and was after something really light. Now I’m thinking about how to fit a rear rack to carry some medium‑sized panniers at the back when I decide to go on a long trip like the one I did. I cycled 85 km one day, "rested" the next, and then 85 km back. 😁
I want use it for exercising in my neighbourhood, which is a parish; if I want to go to another parish further away, that’s when I need the electric bike to give me a hand.

jajaja Gracias por la recopilacion, los leere con poco a poco. Es que casi no me da tiempo ver mi feed, solo publico, apoyo y comento en las comunidades que sigo, porque aqui casi ni nos ponen luz. 10 horas al dia sin electricidad y cuando llega tengo todo descargado.
Yo creo que se me van a secar mis patas de pollo jajajaj pero saber eso me motiva.
