What I would do if called by my name in the midnight!

Greetings!

I'm happy to be here this night and I'm happy to be a participant in the midnight owl weekly prompt.

In response to the topic of the prompt, which is all about, “If you got called by your name at midnight, what would you do?

Well, what I would do if my name is being called in the middle of the night is that, I would not at first answer the voice calling my name and this is because of the fact that, in my native Yoruba land, it's something strange for one's name to be called at night and this is because, in this part of the world, we strongly believe that the midnight is a sacred night and has some demons assigned with it.

So, just because of this, people don't really like to play with the midnight and also, if one's name is being called in the midnight here, then it might be for bad reason, which can be in the form of bewitchment.

So, for me not to be bewitched, I may not answer my name if being called in the middle of night.

However, one thing that I would do is to listen attentively to the voice calling me, if it's a familiar voice in my neighborhood and that I know very to be in need of help maybe in the case of a pregnant woman who might be in need of my help, I would answer the voice and help the fellow and this would not just happen until I might have listen with care.
