Hello foodies, happy start to the week! Today I want to share with you a recipe that’s super easy to make, uses just a few ingredients, and is absolutely delicious. It’s chicken cutlets in creamy parsley sauce. I absolutely loved this recipe, since I’m a huge fan of creamy dishes that let the flavor shine through while keeping the protein nice and juicy.

One of the things I liked about this recipe is that the chicken breast—which usually ends up dry—turns out super juicy thanks to the cooking method used in this recipe, and the rich, full-bodied sauce captures all the flavors of each ingredient, making it a truly incredible dish. So keep reading to find out how I made it.

Procedimiento/Procedure

Reservamos.

To begin preparing this dish, the first thing we’ll do is season our chicken cutlets, so we’ll add olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper, and rub them in thoroughly with our hands. Set aside.

Next, in a deep skillet over medium-high heat, melt the two tablespoons of margarine along with the tablespoon of olive oil. When it’s hot, add the chicken cutlets along with the whole garlic cloves—which you’ve crushed beforehand to release their full flavor.

At this point, it’s important to remember not to stir the fillets constantly so they brown perfectly. Let them cook for about 4 minutes on each side.

While the chicken is browning, we’ll use this time to prepare the sauce mixture. To do this, add the heavy cream to a bowl, then stir in the sweet paprika along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly and set aside until you’re ready to use it.

Back to our chicken: once it’s ready, remove the fillets from the skillet and set them aside while you continue making the sauce. What you do is use that same skillet—without washing it at all, because that’s the secret to the flavor, since there are browned bits from the chicken and the nicely golden garlic—and right there, add the half onion, chopped into small cubes, and the fresh parsley, finely chopped. Sauté, stirring with a wooden spatula to scrape up all the caramelized bits from the bottom.

When the onion is translucent, add the cream mixture you prepared. Lower the heat slightly and stir constantly until the sauce begins to thicken. At that point, return the chicken to the skillet along with the fresh parsley and cook for 10 more minutes over low heat so the chicken absorbs all the flavors.

Y listo, gente!

And that’s it, folks! In the blink of an eye, we have a spectacular dish that we obviously serve at home with white rice (to enjoy the sauce) and shredded salad. And I’ll tell you, what I liked most about this lunch was the creamy texture that the heavy cream adds, which makes every bite of chicken incredibly tender and full of delicious flavor.

It was a huge hit at home, so I hope you’ll give it a try in your own kitchens to break out of your routine and enjoy a delicious meal.
