Wie geht es euch?
Ich habe die Gürtelrose leider immer noch im Auge. Es wird nur seeehr langsam besser... 😵
Das ist ziemlich anstrengend. Mein Körper ist die ganze Zeit extrem erschöpft und ich muss immer noch sehr viel schlafen. Zusammen mit meinem ME/CFS ist das wirklich hart. Mittlerweile habe ich das schon seit zwei Monaten. Hoffen wir, dass es in weiteren vier Wochen endlich vorbei ist. 🙏
Trotzdem versuche ich, wann immer ich die Kraft dazu habe, im Hintergrund an meinem Animal Music/Charity Project weiterzuarbeiten.
Ich möchte euch heute die neuesten Fortschritte zeigen.
Ich habe das komplette Design und die Corporate Identity des Projekts überarbeitet
Ich habe mich dafür entschieden, weil ich möchte, dass das Projekt insgesamt professioneller wirkt. Das alte Design hat mir zwar gefallen, aber es wirkte doch etwas verspielter und kindlicher. Da es sich um ein ernst gemeintes Projekt zur Unterstützung von Tierschutz handelt, sollen auch die Grafiken entsprechend seriös wirken.
Ich habe mich für freundliche, warme Farben entschieden und für ein Logo, das sofort zeigt, worum es geht – selbst ohne ein einziges Wort zu lesen. Deshalb fiel die Wahl auf die Pfote. Die Silhouetten eines Hundes und einer Katze innerhalb der Pfote symbolisieren für mich den Schutz der Tiere. Genau darum geht es in diesem Projekt: Tiere zu schützen und ihnen zu helfen. Vielen Dank an @creepyarts, der dieses Logo nach meinen Vorstellungen gezeichnet hat.
Neben dem Logo habe ich außerdem bereits alle Header-Banner für die verschiedenen Kanäle erstellt – zum Beispiel für YouTube, Twitter usw.
Das bildet die grundlegende Identität des Projekts.
Danach habe ich mich um das Design der Videos gekümmert – denn YouTube wird das Herzstück des Projekts. Dort sollen später verschiedene Musik- und Entspannungsvideos für Tiere veröffentlicht werden.
Es hat eine Weile gedauert, bis ich den richtigen Stil gefunden habe. Ich wollte möglichst realistisch aussehende Tiere verwenden. Aber ich habe weder die Zeit noch das Geld, hunderte Tiere beim Schlafen oder Entspannen zu filmen oder teures Stockmaterial zu kaufen (das ohnehin schon von hunderten anderen Kanälen genutzt wird).
Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, hier KI einzusetzen. Als Grafiker bin ich eigentlich kein großer Fan davon, weil sie vielen kreativen Menschen Arbeitsplätze nimmt. In diesem Fall hatte ich jedoch das Gefühl, dass mein gesamtes Projekt ohne KI kaum umsetzbar wäre. Ich habe einfach keinen anderen Weg gefunden, genügend Material für all die Videos zu erstellen.
Deshalb ist mir in diesem Fall das Projekt – und die Möglichkeit, dadurch mehr Geld für den Tierschutz zu sammeln – wichtiger, als komplett auf KI zu verzichten. Ich nutze sie nicht, um kreative Menschen zu ersetzen, sondern gezielt als Werkzeug, um dieses Projekt überhaupt realisieren zu können.
So entstehen meine Videos
1. Ich erstelle mit Adobe Firefly KI-Bilder von schlafenden oder entspannten Tieren.
2. Mit NightCafe AI verwandle ich diese Bilder in animierte Videos.
3. In Adobe Premiere Pro erstelle ich daraus kurze Video-Loops.
Ich füge außerdem leichte Effekte wie Filmkorn, Staub oder dezente Lichtreflexe hinzu, damit die Videos etwas lebendiger wirken.
4. Mit FFmpeg erstelle ich aus diesen Loops (30–90 Sekunden lang) die langen Videos.
FFmpeg ist ein großartiges Tool, um das Rendern zu automatisieren. Lange Videos benötigen in Premiere Pro extrem viel Zeit. Das wäre bei hunderten Videos am Ende einfach nicht machbar. Adobe Premiere Pro braucht für ein 10-stündiges Video ungefähr sechs Stunden zum Rendern, während FFmpeg dafür nur etwa eine bis eineinhalb Stunden benötigt. Das macht einen riesigen Unterschied.
In diesem Schritt füge ich auch die Musik sowie ein kleines Overlay mit meinem Logo und dem Hinweis "Human Made Music" hinzu. Ich möchte nicht, dass Menschen denken, die Musik wäre ebenfalls mit KI erstellt worden – denn das ist sie nicht.
Die gesamte Musik wurde entweder von mir oder meinem Ghostproducer produziert.
Musik für Tiere ist eigentlich recht einfach zu produzieren, muss aber bestimmte Regeln erfüllen. Das Wichtigste ist, dass die Tiere entspannt bleiben. Deshalb achte ich auf:
- viel Wiederholung in der Musik
- keine plötzlichen Veränderungen oder überraschenden Geräusche
- ein langsames Tempo
- keine sehr hohen Frequenzen, da diese für Tiere oft Gefahr signalisieren
- eine tiefe Frequenzbasis über den gesamten Track, da diese Sicherheit vermittelt
Für die Videos habe ich außerdem verschiedene Szenen geplant, zum Beispiel:
- im Garten
- vor dem Kamin
- auf dem Sofa
- und viele weitere ruhige Umgebungen
Hier sind ein paar Screenshots davon, wie die fertigen Videos aussehen.
Daran arbeite ich momentan hauptsächlich. Ich möchte möglichst viele dieser langen Videos vorbereiten, sodass ich genug Material habe, um ein ganzes Jahr lang regelmäßig Inhalte veröffentlichen zu können. So muss ich währenddessen keine neuen Videos produzieren und kann mich voll auf das Veröffentlichen konzentrieren.
Außerdem habe ich bereits eine Thumbnail-Vorlage erstellt. So sehen später alle Video-Thumbnails einheitlich aus:
Die nächsten Schritte
Es wird sicher noch etwa zwei Monate dauern, bis genügend lange Videos fertig sind.
Danach möchte ich aus diesen Videos Shorts erstellen, um das Projekt besser auf YouTube Shorts, Twitter, TikTok und anderen Plattformen bekannt zu machen.
Außerdem brauche ich noch Cover-Artworks für die Musikveröffentlichungen auf Spotify, Apple Music und den anderen Streaming-Plattformen.
Das Ganze ist eine riesige Menge Arbeit. Eigentlich ist dieses Projekt viel zu groß für eine einzelne Person. Aber es ist nicht einfach, jemanden zu finden, der genauso motiviert ist wie ich, freiwillig an so einem Projekt zu arbeiten und genauso viel Herzblut hineinzustecken.
Deshalb habe ich beschlossen, es alleine zu versuchen. Ich habe keinen Zeitdruck. Trotzdem möchte ich den gesamten Content bis Ende des Jahres fertigstellen, damit ich das Projekt im Januar starten kann.

I still have shingles in my eye. It´s only getting better veeery slowly... 😵
It´s exhausting. My body is very tired all the time, I still need to sleep alot. Together with my ME/CFS this is tough. I already have it for 2 months now. Let´s hope another 4 weeks and then it´s gone. 🙏
Nevertheless I try to work on my Animal Music/Charity Project in the background whenever I can.
Let me show the newest steps to you.
I changed the whole look and CI of the project
I decided to do this because I want it to look more "professional". I like the old look but it looked a bit more "playful and childish". As this is supposed to support animal charity and is a serious project, I want the graphics to appear seriouos too.
I decided to go with friendly, warm colors and a logo that symbolizes directly what it´s about, even without reading any word. That´s why I went with the paw. The outlines of a dog and a cat inside the paw symbolizes the "protection" for me. The purpose what the project is for, to help and protect animals. Thanks to @creepyarts for drawing this logo after my imagination.
Apart from the Logo, I already created all header banners for the channels. Like for YouTube, Twitter, etc.
That is the core identity of the project.
Now I took care of the look of my videos, which is the most important thing of the project. Because YouTube will be the core of the project with different musics and videos for relaxing purposes for animals.
It took me a while to figure out the best style for it. I wanted real looking animals, but I neither have the time nor money to film hundreds of animals while they sleep/relax, or to buy stock material (which is used by hundreds of other people).
So I decided to use AI for it. Although I am against AI as an artist because it costs alot of jobs for creative people. But here I felt, that without the use of AI, my whole project is in danger, and I didn´t find any other way to create enough material for the videos.
So in this case, my project and the chance to do more for animal charity is more important to me than not using AI. I don´t use it to completely replace a creative person, I just use it smart to be able to launch my project.
Here are the steps I use to create my videos
1. I create AI pictures with Adobe Firefly from sleeping/relaxing animals
2. I use Nightcafe AI to make animated videos out of these pictures
3. I use Adobe Premiere Pro to make small loops out of these animations
I add some light effects or grains or dust to make the video a little more interesting.
4. I use these loops (30-90sec. long) to create long videos with FFmpeg
This is a great tool to automate rendering. Long videos take very long to render via Premiere Pro. And I just can´t do this when rendering hundres of videos in the end. Adobe Premiere Pro takes around 6 hours for a 10 hour long video to render, while FFmpeg only takes around 1-1,5 hours for the same length. So this is a huge difference.
I just add my music here in this step, and an video overlay with my logo and my little hint that it´s "Human Made Music". I don´t want people to get the impression that it´s AI music, because it´s not.
All music has either been produced by me or my ghostproducer
Animal music is quite easy to produce, but it needs to follow certain rules. It´s all about keeping the animals relaxed. That means:
- lot´s of repetition in the music
- no sudden impacts, changes, etc.
- slow tempo
- no very high frequencies as they symbolize danger
- a deep frequency base throughout the whole track as this symbolized safety for the animals
For the videos I decided on a bunch of different settings/scenes I wanted to have. For example: In the garden, in front of the fireplace, on the sofa, etc.

That´s what I am currently working on. To make these long videos. I want to prepare as much content as possible, so I have enough to post for a whole year. So I don´t need to produce more as I go. I can then fully concentrate on the posting of the content.
I also created a Thumbnail template for all the video thumbnails. Here is an example:
The next steps
It will for sure take another 2 months to create enough long videos.
Then I will create shorts out of these videos, so I can market the project better on YouTube Shorts, Twitter, Tiktok, etc.
And then I also need coverarts for the music releases on Spotify, Apple music, etc.
It is a HUGE amount of work. Actually this project is too big for only one person. But it´s not easy to find another person that is as motivated as me to work for free on such a project, and to put as much work and heart into it. So I decided to try it alone. I don´t have any rush. But I try to get the content done till the end of the year, so I can launch in January.

Here's a daft thought - YouTube Shorts repeat when they play, so you could make a short clip with the end designed to flow back into the start and a bit of explanatory text for the human in the loop. It might not hit the threshold for monetisation, but it would be a good way to play the music to calm upset animals, and might help with the marketing side 😀

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
