23 January 2026, @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2992: unpleasant perfume

Source
Sometimes it's about what emanates from our character, rather than only what we apply to our bodies, that determines an offensive fragrance.
Faster than any perfume can fill a room are attitudes such bitterness, wrath, pride, and nonstop criticism.
Though people might overlook faults, seldom do they forget how someone made them feel.
An unwelcome presence drives away possibilities, relationships, and development.
Every day life tests us; pressure exposes our real smell. Negativity is simple when times get tough, but it is also harmful.
Releasing a better fragrance come from a quiet response, a pleasant word, and a humble attitude.
Good character is a fragrance that never vanishes. Pick love over resentment, thankfulness instead of complaint, and patience above wrath.
By so doing, you become somebody others want to be around and your impact will last well beyond your departure from the room. Shalom
Thank you for your time.
