Steemit

Hey folks! This is a newbies take on some of the articles I have read about bots on here.

So I have been reading about “voting bots” and how some think they shouldn’t be allowed. And how they are just selling votes. I may be wrong but isnt that kinda what we do already? I may be over simplifying this but if I like something and comment and up vote it then the author up votes my comment didn’t I just sell my vote? Or if the author follows me and up votes in return? I know you are saying yes in a perfect environment that is what would happen but this is not a perfect environment. True. But didn’t we know that coming in? I did. I heard about Steemit on coast to coast radio while coming to work this time on a 7 hour drive. That is how I came to be here. But during the interview with someone she called The Godfather of one of the crypto currencies ( I forgot so if anyone knows who I am talking about please point me towards them) the radio host ask him questions about Steemit and added some of what she had learned as well.

So that is pretty much my knowledge coming in and I have been learning by the FAQ section and posts from others that have info. This is why I kinda believe I am selling my vote already. I may have really over simplified it and if I did and someone wants to explain it better please do it in a manner that wont make me zone out. I am barely computer savvy so when folks start talking more tech than I can handle I look like Homer Simpson looking at donuts!
