MCGI TOPIC REVIEW: WHAT DO NATURAL DISASTERS TELL US

The bible makes us to understand that the world has not been in a perfect shape since the sin of Adam and Eve which are the first people in the world. They reveal the fragility of human life and our need to depend on God rather than our own strength. Jesus also spoke of earthquakes, famines, and other calamities as signs that should awaken people to repentance and readiness for His coming.

The Bible does not teach that every natural disaster is a direct punishment for specific sins, but they serve as reminders that this world is temporary and that God calls all people to seek Him. They encourage compassion for those who suffer, faith in God's promises, and hope in the future restoration of creation when Christ establishes His eternal kingdom.
