You are just sharing someone else’s video? How is this original content?
Discovery of original content is the same as curation. Originality of content is of little value, unless you appreciate selfies and cat videos over everything else. It is hardly possible to talk about art, culture, philosophy, literature, religion, and pretty much anything without referencing to external sources. Link to Wikipedia may be useful even if it is not an original content. Besides, Hive is far from being self-sufficient as a lot of good content is contributed elsewhere.

Sharing link to something interesting is invitation for discussion. Suppose I am to share a quote from famous philosopher -- my commentary may be considered unimportant or selfish but either way it would be of little value, comparing to what is being shared by someone with superior eloquence and understanding of subject.
Similarly, suppose I'm sharing a link to the song that I liked. What would be more valuable to reader -- discovery of good/interesting content or my redundant commentary?
By the way I think they already put me on blacklist, without much consideration for ethical citation, original commentary, etc.

I'm not sure I'd be willing to participate on Hive unless I can share work of a certain interesting authors who are not active on Hive themselves. (Interesting thought: is quoting authors who are no longer alive allowed?) What's the alternative -- to share selfies and cat videos? Who would be interested in that? Content that matters is often produced by someone else, and I'm not here for self-promotion.
Furthermore, I've made a community/group dedicated to political philosophy of #LarkenRose, and I post his quotes and videos there. Can we not have fan-groups on Hive?
I agree that certain posting standards should be encouraged, but hivewatchers are overdoing policing in a bad way, punishing even citation with proper credit and no mis-attribution of authorship. I always give due credit, never misrepresenting someone else's content as my own.

Originality of content is not the greatest virtue. Original content can be bad, or misplaced. Sometimes it deserves negative feedback.
