For me photography... Is a certain moment in time, that is so beautiful, i would love to remember.

Capturing a moment @ dawn or by sunset when colours look amazing and intense. Grateful that one can experience surroundings and feeling that one is part from something much greater, that we can imagine.

I made this photograph in my hometown. I sometimes just need to get (break) out from the daily things of life. Standing alone on a jetty thinking of nothing else... enjoy, experience, feeling that moment itself.... No words..

Have great sunday.

This dynamic image was made by just one single image. I don't do HDR for those that would love to know. :)

Great comment @tonywhyte. Your comment sounds so unique compared to the other comments I read. Actually you are a good writer so I expected something original from you. I like Steemit school but somehow this doesn't seem the way to promote it. Anyway, have a great day.

@dreemsteem told me about your photography....I was hoping you'd post again so I could say Hello!

You are very talented and I'd like to see your work noticed more. I would suggest you use the tag #photofeed in your tags. Check them out @photofeed - they scour daily for photos and will resteem, upvote etc. There are some really friendly people you can connect with who will be supportive. You can edit your tags, just not the first one.

All the best!

thank you for your suggestion for @olivierc! :) Olivier - @countrygirl is one of my favorite steemie friends :) She is incredibly talented at photography and is always so encouraging (and funny too!!!) I hope that by using her suggestions, you can get some more notice!!! :) You can never leave Steemit, Sir.... we can't allow it ;)

and as far as your photo here.... I'm sure you know already what I'll say! hehehehe It's just heavenly! I can feel it tugging on my heart!

I can just imagine what kind of day this was! I feel like.... There was a woman who watched early that morning as her husband sailed away from the port. She stood on the shore, watching his ship become smaller and smaller until she could no longer see it. All the other wives had gone home. But she remained. Alone. Still connected to him by the sound of the ocean. She felt as though she could feel his heartbeat in every wave that touched her feet. As evening began to make its presence known, the sun scribbled a message of love in colors that spread across the sky. She knew that her husband was looking at the same brilliance displayed in the heavens, and felt his love.

So happy you're back, my friend!!!! :)

I do have some pretty sweet friends on here that i enjoy SO MUCH!!! but you're giving me way too much credit. LOL if i asked people to come to a post that was mediocre - they would have passed.

it was your PHOTOS. they just needed a little attention!

I'm hoping that this is the start of something for you! Once you get into the right channels - you'll be recognized for your beautiful work!

and did you see calumam's invitation?? that is the channel that i'm in most frequently :)

Don't doubt man, you have good contacts on here and will get noticed if you produce consistently good photographs. I have been on steemit almost 2 months and my account value (although dropping at the moment due to steem value, reached $440 in a little over the first month :) that's like 1/3 of your camera, I say one year you will be earning profit plus your money back for the camera :)

i visited Steemit long before actualy engaging into this community. I have almost no earnings so far But that's ok... I'll try to engage myself some more. But finding the time and keeping up with everyone's posts will be difficult... I guess.

Single shot, you say. Really amazing , I agree with the HDR it is clear you did not since most people who try it or tend to fake it would have tried to increase the exposure on the water and it would just have just spoilt the authenticity of the scene. Amazing to see what I am going to assume does not look nearly as amazing in broad daylight be so transformed.

So glad that @dreemsteem and her treasure hunt brought this post to the BuddyUp Discord Server

Them be eloquent words and a fine appreciation for this port, pirate @penderis! I agree with the authenticity - sometimes, we need to just soak in nature with all her true beauty! @olivierc does a fine job. Makes me want to be there to enjoy it right now!
a tip! simple for yer participation!

I believe this image was made 30 minutes after sunset or so. I did underexpose for the sky and highlighted the shadows in Raw. If you try and nail the dynamic range... there is no need for 3/5 single images with different exposures. And how one could make a HDR from a moving sea. The sea would look very bizarre. :) hehe But just mentioning it ;) Thanks for your great comment @penderis

You encapsulate what photography is all about here. I have been hearing some amazing things about you on our server and the guys have been talking about your photography all day (for great reason!)

The colors are fantastic in this photo. The mixture of oranges and purples are so soothing and make for a brilliant photo. I've been looking at your other posts too and I'm seriously impressed. The 'Mirror, Mirror' post was just shown to me by @svemirac and he's right.. Wow!

I've just started to enjoy and get into photography myself and it's nice to hear your thoughts about why you take pictures and what they mean to you. It's inspiring and makes me want to get out and take more photos right now.

@dreemsteem shared this post with us in the @BuddyUP community. If you'd like to find us, you can visit our SafeLink post here.

aye!!! Mirror, Mirror took me breath away when I spied it too! @olivierc has such impressive talent. He's been kind to stay in steemit and dazzle me with his work, even though my vote has been so low!!!! I'm also hoping that the hunt and buddyup can bring some more spectators to view his incredible work @calumam!

@olivierc... You should definitely come visit in BuddyUP ! It's my favorite discord channel, and the community there is top notch!!! I'd love to get to talk to you REAL TIME instead of our long comment conversations hehehehe I'm so glad that you stayed. I know that your love for photography surpasses any monetary gain from steemit. And that's what makes your photos that much more special! Because I can feel your love of photography in them and I can read your heart in how you wait for the perfect shot! but.... if we can all come support your work and give it some monetary gain too..... that's a win/win in my book! hehehehe

and remember- the invitation is still open! I live in the mountains, and you don't have to wait for another trip to Germany to take that cool night sky shot. bring the family here! hehehehe)

thanks for you amazing comment pirate @calumam!!!! slip this tip! simple into yer boot!!! :)
