A Different Alberta
To continue with my blog I want you present the other side of the medal too. I'll show you yet another face of this great country.
Before the oil era, Alberta was known as a Cowboy country. I was thinking that that part is gone but I was wrong. Every bigger town has its own rodeo event each summer. A different kind of tradition and competitions.
It's more like sport but even in real life, Cowboys are still around. A lot of land and beef farming. Despite technology some job still needs to be done manually. In the saddle on the horseback. And these guys are masters.

Calgary Stampede is the biggest tourist event in Canada. Thousands of people all over the world visit this great exhibition every year.

We'll never know how many hours they spent to prepare them to look like this.
Oh, and I didn't forget. We have Cowgirls too.

Indeed Canada has a rich past. It is sad that everybody associate cowboy life with the USA when another countries, including Canada of course, also has a rich tradition about this.

That horses are beautiful and have very nice colors. Looks like the legend is still alive. Even the modern Cowboys are attractive.

I think,it is so......... difficult to doing this task.Along with it is interesting too,but it is so risky. with a wonderful attempt, these boys will improve so much.I amazed and like it much.

The famous Canadian Rockies as a ski resort, wilderness, and winter activity adjacent to the Badlands desert have prehistoric geology and dinosaur fossils. There is an abundance of adventures in this open location: seeing giant bears or wolves, digging dinosaur bones, and walking in the midst of the gigantic Hoodoo Rocks.@oldtimer

Have not been to the Stampede since High School in the 70's. I try to stay away and leave room for the tourists from afar. Back in those days it was for real cowboys and of course drinking sports as I remember.

I like cow boys, you know they just look different and seeing them you can tell from where they are coming. Maybe one reason of liking them is that they have horses and I like horses.

Some professions are a crucial part of our history, I guess yours is cow-farming. They are important aspect of our culture and development, no amount of civilization can erase that.

I like the color of that "spotted" horse. I am not sure that the relation of its size to the weight of its rider is very healthy... but the horse looks beautiful.

Jokingly we call this 10 days to go on holiday....and come back when it's over ;) That said, it's different now with kids....have to eat some cotton candy.
