OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2217th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Brief story about two little cat siblings 😻 Breve historia de unos hermanitos felinos

A few months ago, specifically in late December, my sister found a box with four abandoned kittens near a stream. They were two sets of siblings. The older ones were adopted the next day, but the two featured in this post weren’t so lucky.

Probably the best golf course I've ever played

Doonbeg golf course is a fantastic course and I had heard about it and how good it is. Indeed it will host the Irish Open this year, which gives you an idea about it's quality and status.

DIY: Vegetable and Chef Motif Pot Holder Set (Eng- Esp)

The pot holders are reversible, and I used red and green bias tape along the edges to match the fabric's designs and patterns, coordinating with the green vegetables and the chef-themed background. It's a simple project that allows you to combine different fabric colors. I invite you to join me in the process!

El amor es inherente al éxito. ❤️‍🩹🏆[Esp-Eng]

However, the truth is quite the opposite. The path to success is not easy, so staying on it is an act of love: self-love, love for what you do, love for your dreams, love for success, and also having a healthy environment that supports you.

Buying School Supplies for Children While Supporting Community Outreach and Flores de Mayo Activities Together

As the Vice President of our chapel and one of the committee members for the Flores de Mayo celebration, I became part of the preparations for this yearly activity that many children and families look forward to. Flores de Mayo is widely celebrated in many communities in the Philippines during the month of May. Aside from the colorful flowers and activities, it also becomes a way to encourage unity, participation, and involvement among young people and parents in the community.

I never would have thought of this delicious dish, cream of lettuce soup [Eng/Esp]

Until a couple of days ago, I thought the only way to eat lettuce was in a salad or a sandwich. It’s at times like this that I appreciate how useful social media can be for good things. While searching for recipes, I found out that many people make tortillas with lettuce, and yesterday I shared my own version.

Gratitude for the Past I Almost Forgot to Appreciate

It's been a while in this community and I'm so glad it's that day of traveling back to memories. I've been doing more gratitude for my present and future plans and somehow forget that I could be thankful for my past too and appreciate the times I had with people who matter, my family.

A prompt on my Journal reminded me last night to be grateful for the people who I have as a family. It made me still for a few minutes realizing just how less often my gratitude have been more focused on my present, where I don't have most of my family with me, and the future.

🎬 Movie Review: Sarah's Oil [ES/EN]

The story revolves around an 11-year-old African American girl living in Oklahoma who inherited some seemingly barren land, but one day, while walking her dog, she feels a calling that leads her to believe there is oil beneath that land. Thus begins her struggle to be heard and taken seriously regarding her belief. But things get complicated when a company decides to drill on her land, realizing that the site is indeed rich in oil, and does everything in its power to obtain the deeds and strip the girl of her rights through threats and violence. This is the story of how a girl becomes a millionaire by following her instincts.

Hive Open Mic Week 317 || Sweet Mother by Prince Nico Mbarga

For this week's Open Mic, I have chosen to perform a very beautiful highlife music. It is a very popular song in this part of the world, usually used to celebrate mothers. Beyond being a beautiful song, it a song that speaks of the sacrifices mothers have to make for the sake of their children. Bringing up a child is really difficult, and mothers play the major role in every child's upbringing.

Patrick Star Decorative Figure Quilling Technique [Eng-Esp

For fans and connoisseurs of the SpongeBob SquarePants animated series, today I wanted to create one of its characters. Here is the well-known "Patrick Star" as a 3D decorative figure made using the quilling technique.
