The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt #35: My wish list ✅

My wish list

I remember when I was young, I had many desires to fulfill. My list was full not only of material things but also of abstract things such as achieving happiness, abundance, and even satisfaction. I obtained many of those material things, such as a house, a car, and academic degrees, and after obtaining them, I realized that sometimes the desires of others interfere with your own desires.

Maturity has not only allowed me to achieve many of the things I wanted and set as goals at some point, but it has also helped me to refine that list and see how essential some things are in my life and how others are not. Well, not to mention that the desires of youth are not the same as the desires of adulthood.

Surely, according to my wish list, I still have many things left to do, but I will try to stick with four that I think are the most important and that will surely give me a lot of satisfaction and joy when I achieve them.

The first is to write a book. Long before writing on Hive, I had written for some pages, events, and even poetry and narrative anthologies. In fact, I have a proposal to make a book with the stories and poems I have written on HIVE, but for one reason or another I have postponed that selection. I also have the idea of an erotic novel and one with a social theme. I hope to have time to work and achieve that goal.

The next one is not only my wish, it is that of almost my entire family: to see my oldest nephew again. My oldest nephew is a political fugitive from the Venezuelan government, and as long as this government is in power, my nephew cannot enter our country. I hope that this year, with God's favor, either he can return or we can travel and hug him again.

Speaking of traveling, that has always been my great desire, my goal, my objective: to travel, to get to know, to live with other cultures. I don't mean knowing specific countries or cities, but knowing everything, as much as I can. Just like someone who has been hungry and cannot be picky about food, that is how my desire to explore the world is. I want people to tell me: "Let's travel" and for me to respond without excuses: "Let's go."

Another great desire is to have a small beach house where I can take refuge, be away from the hustle and bustle, where I can live without rush, just surrounded by nature. Since I met a couple of friends who had their house near the sea, simple, without luxuries, but with enviable tranquility, I wished to have a little house like that, white, with a small garden and large, wide windows through which the sea breeze passes.

________

Many times people wonder how to know what our true desires are. And I think they are those you think about, work for, and that when you imagine them achieved, make you very happy. Those many or few desires are what inspire you to keep going and give you strength on those days when life can turn into a labyrinth itself.

Best wishes with compiling and writing your book. I do hope you are able to see your nephew again and that he remains safe. NO doubt you will be able to travel as you wish some day. Otherwise, like me, you can travel through others here on Hive. Aa beach retreat would be nice. I love the ocean and the sound of waves hitting the beaches. Wonderful wish list!

What a list. I too have some books in the pipeline. Although they have not progressed. I also have an erotic book, maybe one day I shall finish them. The beach house, oh yes overlooking that warm sea that needs to be explored with someone. I hope you see your eldest nephew, so yes let's travel Nancy 🤗
