@yacov I wish I was Steem rich, but in time I will grow this account. However, I too also feel that Steem will be at least $5 per coin by the 2nd quarter of next year.

me too my friend ...as you can see in my profile I own 1043 steem in steemit and other 500 in Poloniex ...a couple thousands of dollars worth.

also i can tell you that if steem will duplicate it´s value or even more i will not sell as I expect the price of steem to go much higher than 5 or 7 dollars
You know, there are people that bought bitcoins for 600 dollars and sold it for 1800$ just few month ago ...and now they are crying for the mistake they have done
@yacov you are right on the money with regards to people buying and selling these tokens as the best thing to do is just to buy and hold.

Wow. That's impressive. You must have a lot of other funds if you can tie up $65k in SteemPower. I am still learning Steemit and cryptos, but as far as I understand you can't convert SteemPower back to Steem for 2 years. I am thinking of putting at least $500 in so I can raise my stature.
I've enjoyed your Youtube videos and that small part of me that was still slightly tempted by BitConnect has now realized it's not a good idea.
Looking forward to learning from more of your videos.
@clemdane Yes I will admit that I was fortunate to invest a good sum in ETH when it was only $9 and stayed with it until it reached $405 and then sold a good portion of it.
As far as the conversion of SteemPower back to Steem is now 13 weeks not 2 years. The 2 years was in the old white paper.
I appreciate you watching my videos and as far as BitConnect if you go in just be aware of the risks and just make sure that it is money you are not needing.
I'm glad for you that you got to do that and had the fortune to sell at $405. I am still working on multiple side hustles and investments all contributing towards my eventual financial freedom. I don't know near enough about most cryptos to risk my money at this point (apart from my intention to get $500 of SteemPower to "level up.") Glad to hear it's only 13 weeks. That's much more palatable.
BitConnect has all the hallmarks of a Ponzi scheme to me. That and all of the red flags and lack of information about them are a warning, and I won't be arrogant enough to think that I uniquely can get the timing right to make a pile of cash before the rest of the suckers get left holding the bag. So I'll be abstaining. Thanks again for your videos about that and other ideas.
@clemdane with crypto this is all a risk as it can all go to zero tomorrow so it is a chance that we are all taking with the hopes that this pays off for all of us. No one knows what the future holds as all of this is built on faith.
However, with BitConnect I decide to leave the subject alone as it is a touchy one on both sides and it will play out how it will play out and hope that I'm wrong about it as if not a lot of people will be affected from it.
Yes, I can understand that. Passions seem to rise high on this one. True, it is all a risk. I don't put in money I can't afford to lose.

Awesome, I want to do this. The hard part is convincing my wife and getting her to allow me to do something like. She is super apprehensive about learning about this and would rather have money tied up in the stock market!

Yeah man agreed. I think crypto in general is going to boom. Right now the uncertainty of the potential btc fork is keeping the price of most crypto's suppressed.
Which is not a bad thing because its allowing the base foundation of consolidation to build before the next rocket launch.

@dlina-v-metrah To be honest I'm bullish on Steem but who knows what will happen. Many are predicting $10 Steem this time next year. If it goes to $5 which I think is more conservative that would be great but this is a long term play as I do not see anything happening right now. But I could be wrong.

However, I have seen people that did not purchase any Steem at all go from 0 Steem to well over 100K in Steem in less than a year so I wish that I was here 3 months ago as this same purchase in Steem would have made me a instant whale on the platform. However, as long as you have some Steem you are good to go.

So far steemit is just a simple looking blogging platform, lacking many features other social media platforms have. And a lot of content is about cryptos, which are still not mainstream either. And if Your blog posts don't get seen and upvoted by some whales, You can write the best content of the earth and still not get many upvotes. So I'm curious, but still sceptical.
@arian1 one thing is because of the momentum that it already has behind. Craigslist is a simple looking website as well but it just has been the #1 classified ad site that generates millions in ad revenue per year so it is not about the look as there are pleny of pretty looking website that get no traffic and generate zero revenue.
Yes, it is lacking a lot of features but those can be added. it is about the community and yes there can be more topics but that will come in due time. However, regardless if a person earns a penny or $1,000 it is still more than they are getting paid anywhere else for their content.

@yukimaru me personally I believe a person should power up until they reach the level that they feel comfortable with as Steem will only get harder and harder to earn. The reason being is that you can never have enough Steem and when the price rises you will be saying to yourself either why didn't I buy more when it was low and why didn't I power up sooner.

I think that steem power is definitely the quickest way to get some attention on here. Steemit is at the beginning and will probably overtake reddit in a couple of years in my opinion.

@chelseanews it was actually $65,000 but you have to make bold moves sometimes. This was the same thing I did with ETH when it was $9. I rode it all the way up to $405. It was a life changing experience.
