I look at it this way. I get to engage with people and get a peek into their lives in a way I don't find that easily on other non-blockchain platforms. Somehow the people here seem more "real" than on FB or Quora or other conventional net places.

And I get paid for my content - something that doesn't happen very easily anywhere else. Even if I just get $1 for it because the price has dropped, that's $1 more than I would get somewhere else.

So the combination of engaging and learning from others, plus the icing on the cake of being paid for content will keep me on Steemit.
