Wednesday Walk - Trip To The Old Woods In Niederösterreich

The trip to the former House - #wednesdaywalk

Hello Everyone!

In today´s #wednesdaywalk, I am taking you to Lower Austria. After my hiatus, most of my time were spent making our new home when we moved to another district. Our day today was a trip to the old town where hubby´s family used to have a house in a town called Strasshof. We went there
to visit a friend, we passed by these huge propellers in a huge agricultural land. Niederösterreich is well known for its crops.

The former house used to have a trail going to the woods where hubby often went to walk the dog. After so many years, the trail seemed cut and became a field for crops.

There is a nearby wood, and so after the meeting with our friend, we went to the woods to take a walk. Some of the trees are now showing leaves and buds of some trees are now appearing.

The tall pine trees are still there, although part of the woods have been developed into housing area. Well, some areas were private and probably have sold the land to builders.

It seems as though, nobody cared for the forest because when we passed by the trail, the wooded area were full of grass and were very unruly. Perhaps it is a private land and expensive to maintain the woods... so they let them be.

Life is showing now to the ones gray scenery after the winter. I am sure when the leaves are there, the area will again be lively.

Although the walk had been short for about half hour, we still enjoyed it because of the fresh air and getting away from all the road traffics of the big city.
