MercuryBot Minimum Bid Change

The MercuryBot has been growing and the time has finally come to change the minimum bid.

The minimum bid amount for @mercurybot will be changing in the next few days from

0.10 SBD or 0.10 STEEM

to

0.25 SBD or 0.25 STEEM.

In light of this upcoming change, here are the adjusted rules for using @mercurybot.

Current MercuryBot Rules

  1. Only bid on posts--no comment bids
  2. Maximum post age must be under 84 hours (This is 3.5 days)
  3. Bid in either SBD or Steem
  4. The minimum bid is 0.25 Steem or 0.25 SBD
  5. There is no maximum bid--please use common sense--if you bid more than is profitable, this is your mistake and will not be refunded.
  6. Here is a handy tool created by @yabapmatt that will help you with your bidding decisions. Just like any tool--it should be used carefully and you should manually double check your amounts before placing a vote.
  7. Refunds will not be issued for situations where you think your vote wasn't profitable.
  8. Refunds will only be issued if you actually did not receive your vote.
  9. After you place your bid, please wait at least 2.5 hours before contacting me about a missed vote--you can contact me by simply leaving a comment on any @mercurybot post. Most often, if you think the bot missed the vote it is because your bid ended up coming in too late for the current round and ended up in the next bidding round. I check messages about once a day, so please just leave one message. If I haven't responded within 24 hours, feel free to leave another.

How To Bid:

  1. Copy the URL of the post / comment you want @mercurybot to vote on
  2. Navigate to your Wallet
  3. Select Transfer under Steem or SBD
  4. Populate the "To" field with "mercurybot"
  5. Populate "Amount" field min "0.25" SBD or "0.25" STEEM
  6. Paste the URL you want @mercurybot to vote on in the "Memo" field
  7. Submit

If you look in your register, your .1SBD was automatically returned. We recently changed our minimum bid to 0.25 SBD or 0.25 STEEM. Anything less will be rejected and automatically returned to you as yours was. Thanks for using @mercurybot.

You didn't include a link that you wanted the bot to vote on. Did you do this on purpose or was it a mistake? If you do not include a link in the comment line, the bot cannot place a vote for your because it doesn't know where to place the vote? Let me know.

Hey, I just saw all these comments. It looks like the bot did vote on your post. Once you have put in a bid, there is really no way to stop the process. It slots it into the current bidding round and then votes automatically. Thanks for using @mercurybot.

There are still 45 minutes in the current round. The bot votes every 2 hours and 40 minutes based on all the bids it has received up until that moment. If the bot still hasn't voted on your post/bid 5 hours after your initial bid, please let me know. Thanks for using @mercurybot.
