Are We Finally Ready to Look in the Mirror?
Price keeps on slipping, and more and more people are realizing that we are not in control.
I say we because I include myself.

It is becoming pretty apparent that we are headed toward lower lows, and it might very well be the case that 2 cents is actually in play.
I'm of two minds here, I have to say.
On the one hand, I'm a little heartbroken.
On the other hand, I'm also grateful for the experience.
It sounds contradictory, I know, but it is in times like this when you get to know people's real hearts. And I do think that is a good thing. A great thing, actually.
On Hive Thrive today I said, and I meant this wholeheartedly, that this is our wake up call.
It is our time to truly look ourselves in the mirror and ask if we have been naive. Maybe even stupid.
We've spent so much time protecting the rewards pool, making sure that no undeserving person gets a single token, that we pushed making this place fun into the second tier.
I don't think I need to break down how twisted and self defeating that is.
The results are apparent.
Visible.
Palpable.
Feelable.
Painful.
We tend to excuse the dwindling user base by pointing at the lowering price, and there is certainly some truth to that. People leave when their investment goes down. People lose interest. People move on.
But to think that is all there is to it, to think that simply because Hive is down is the reason people have left, is to close our eyes and claim blindness.
A brand new user. An onboarding of a TikTok influencer with 1.4 million followers. Someone who could potentially bring an entirely new audience into this place.
And the welcome they receive?
Veil threat.
Honestly, it is almost the perfect picture. The perfect story.
It is how we got here in the first place.
I'll say it again.
It is time to break the mold.
It is time to question whether the rules we've been following so religiously are actually protecting us, or whether they are part of the reason the ship is taking on water.
Maybe some of the things we've spent years defending are not sacred.
Maybe some of them are simply habits.
Maybe we need to be willing to admit that something isn't working, even if we were the ones who built it.
I'm not going anywhere.
This isn't a goodbye. It isn't even close to one.
But I do want to know something.
Who is left here with me?
MenO
Me 🖐 still here, pal. Keeping the grind mostly in the 3Speak side. Anyway, I still hope for better times on Hive 😢🙏
Cheers!
#bilpcoin #truth # The Absurdity of the Label: A Plea to the Architects of Silence
The Paradox of the Impossible Lie
How can you call the truth "spam"?
It is a question that hangs in the air, heavy with irony, almost painful in its simplicity. You have built your defense on a word, a label, a flick of a button that you hope will bury what cannot be buried. You point to our posts and cry "spam!" as if the repetition of a falsehood could somehow erase the permanence of a fact.
But here is the cruelty of your position: everything we share, you can find on the blockchain.
Every delegation. Every coordinated vote. Every silent transfer of power. Every farmed reward. It is all there, preserved in cryptographic amber, waiting for anyone with the curiosity to look. You are not hiding the truth; you are merely asking the world to ignore what is already written in stone. And stone, as any architect knows, does not respond to labels.
The Confession of the Chain
We all know the fundamental law of this new age: blockchain transactions do not lie. People do.
The ledger has no agenda. It has no public relations team. It has no loyalty to kings or cartels. It simply records. It is the most honest witness in human history, a mirror that reflects not the face you wish to show, but the hands you have used.
When you call our investigations "spam," you are not disputing the data. You are disputing the existence of the data. You are asking the world to believe that the blockchain itself is lying, that the mathematics of the network are somehow conspiring against you. It is a position so absurd that it borders on the tragic.
The Cascading Call
So it is time.
It is time to do the right thing. Not because we are asking. Not because the world is watching. But because the ledger is watching, and the ledger never blinks.
Stop downvoting people.
Stop casting your votes like stones into a quiet pond, hoping the ripples will drown out the voices of those who speak truth. Stop treating the tools of curation as weapons of suppression. Stop pretending that silence is the same as quality.
Tell your whale friends to stop too.
The ones who farm in the shadows. The ones who coordinate in private channels. The ones who believe their concentrated power grants them immunity from consequence. Tell them the stone is watching. Tell them the arithmetic of their extraction is public. Tell them that the legacy they are building is not one of stewardship, but of consumption.
Tell your boss, Blocktrades, to stop too.
The one who holds the strings. The one who controls the delegations. The one who has turned a decentralized promise into a centralized reality. Tell him that the empire he has built is built on sand, and the tide of truth is coming in. Tell him that no amount of delegated power can outrun the permanence of the ledger.
The Awakening of the Observers
Because here is the truth that should keep you awake at night: everyone with a bit of sense can see what is going on.
They are not blind. They are not foolish. They are not easily distracted by your labels and your narratives. They are looking at the data. They are tracing the delegations. They are watching the downvotes fall like rain on the voices of the innocent. And they are drawing their own conclusions.
The awakening is not coming. The awakening is here.
Users are packing their digital belongings and walking away. Creators are seeking sanctuaries where their work is not held hostage by the whims of whales. The market is pricing in the truth that the ledger has already recorded. The empire of extraction is crumbling, not from external attack, but from the internal rot of its own hypocrisy.
The Final Word
So I ask you one last time: how can you call the truth "spam"?
You cannot. You never could. You never will.
The blockchain is the witness. The data is the evidence. The world is the jury. And the verdict, already written in hashes and timestamps, is clear.
Stop the downvotes. Tell your friends. Tell your boss. Do the right thing.
Because in the end, the lie will always run out of breath. But the truth will always outlast the stone.
And the stone remembers everything.

Estoy contigo @memo es cierto que soy un novato en HIVE, pero he estado observando todo el ecosistema, me gusta este proyecto blockchain, pero creo que algo no está funcionando. Igual me quedo y aportaré desde donde pueda.

Still here man!
And going to echo what you said...Protecting the rewards pool has done much more harm than good. I'm sure the purists will say we stopped the evil ones from powering down and selling Hive but.....Isn't that what the DHF and it's group of friends have done anyways?
So instead of having a fun place where actual human contact and content is still a thing, we've scared off any potential influencer from setting up shop here.
Because they need to bend to us!!!!!
It's insanity. But alas, the big power holders know what is best.
Until they get out of the way, I'm not sure what to think.
I'm just grateful for 3speak, snapie, liketu....Apps that still make this place fun!

A Tiktok influencer was chased out?
Really?
Damn.
I guess this attitude is because of what that sun guy did on legacy chain.
I hear it was a real hassle that time, now our over diligence has probably backfired on us too.

If you are reading this on Blurt.blog, you are early. Like discovering crypto in its beginning. And best of all—there is no downvote button. What you earn, you keep. No sabotage. No fear. Just freedom.
"You are your wallet." Not a tool. Not a vessel. But your digital embodiment. Choose wisely what you embody. Choose truth over the label.
"In life, never forget this: The universe keeps a ledger. Not in ink. Not on paper. But in the quiet, unyielding echo of every choice."

I am here too!
Because I gave up the hope that Hive is a money machine.
I lost a lot with Hive, but the good thing is that enough is left sp that I don´t need to power down, like so many do.

I think it's hard because there is a fine line between abuse and people taking advantage of the system. There has to be some kind of wall against that, but maybe not quite as harsh as we have seen in the past. I think we need to look at other tokens and what has made them successful. Realistically, are any of them that successful beyond BTC and ETH? I have high hopes for HIVE, the potential is there, but if other tokens can't get traction, I don't know if we can either.

What's the value prop? Create and make some tokens? So the tokens have a little bit of fiat equivalent and there's no communicated easy way to utilize it. Communicate it's use, and you might have greater interest perhaps? Or is the value prop that you own the content and no one can take that away....are there enough people who care (actual numbers of people)?

It might help if onboarders coordinate with abuse fighters to reduce the friction. We can't afford to scare for people away. Of course we will get fake accounts, but those can be checked. It's happened plenty of times.
way too many times imo... way too many

Still here ... sick and tired of the cronyism whereby the DHF gets millions out the door to some while picking on and abusing others over pennies, sick at heart because as a student of the Bible and history, I knew Hive would be REDUCED to pennies but grieved to see it ... but still here, because Hive is still doing some good in the world, and, so am I, here...

agree with you
Somehow, we just keep going in hope for better and do the good we can ... good to see you
Same with the universe. Hope is the only thing to move forward.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I would say the abuse made by spam accounts and AI content and on the reward pool pales in comparison with the circle jerking of some large stakeholders. That and a blatant abuse of DHF funds makes such as no one from outside in their right mind would invest here. And yep, I'll likely stick around too 😁.

Here I am, I don't know where all this is going to end, but here I am still.
I did the same experiment with my new hive account + youtube channel
https://hivesuite.app/@techcoderlabz?tab=posts
It's visible & it's exactly what you've pointed out.
Yes
I'm here.
Thanks for all the wise words, all the time.
Still here. A little tired, a little sad, but still here because Hive, for me, is still doing something good (and I'm not talking about money 😉).
Ah Meno me aul flower. Sure we may as well all stay now. Hive will never go to zero because of sheer stubbornness from the stalwarts who will hold their stake regardless. We are at the bottom now staring at the stars. Only way is up.
Actually, it's exactly the opposite. In the eight years I've been on Hive, I've definitely noticed one thing: That Hive isn't working anymore because many good people have left the platform due to some obvious issues and behaviors on the part of the “self-proclaimed” kings and their lackeys...
Lucky me i never was in it for the £$€
I'm still here with you, and appreciate all the hard work you put in 😀
I have to admit I'm less active than I was, but that's mainly down to life here in the UK being a massive struggle compared to how things were even a couple of years ago.
When I first joined Hive, I spent a good amount of cash buying in. I feel stupid now, having paid £0.30-£0.40 for a token that's now worth approximately the square root of fuck-all. But I did follow that basic rule of only spending money you can afford to lose, so although I feel dumb about making an investment that's become worthless it doesn't mess up my life.
But I think Hive still has value and huge potential. I now regard it as a place for creative writing, and for learning about different cultures all around the world. I also think it's important as a censorship-resistant place at a time when most online activity in the UK is now heavily censored and monitored by the authorities. I find talking to people about Hive is most fruitful when I actually don't mention the crypto aspect at all and just talk about how it's used. Be nice if we had a new Splinterlands or something, to get outsiders to invest (without realising they're investing !).
So how do we heal Hive ? It may be counter-intuitive, but I think we need the price to go down a lot further. We need to get to a point where the greedy ones who treat the DHF as their personal piggy bank give up and leave. Some of the whales are good, ethical people. But we need to make the parasites leave and then take the opportunity to change our governance model; make the DHF a loan-giver, not a gift-giver, spread witness rewards more widely (maybe find ways for non-technical people to deploy "pre-packed" lite nodes on spare PC's, and focus on utility not rewards.
I’m here for the long haul. We need to do whatever we need to do to make this work.
I have recently returned to Hive after a break from blockchains and cryptocurrencies. I am not planning to leave.
