Laundry Shadows

This week's contest will pay out 5 Steem in prizes. Plus there will be an additional @steem-bounty bonus.

The theme this week can be shadows of any type of clothing.

To get your photo to show up in the comments, you have to post the link to your post AND the link to your photo. It makes it easier to remember what you posted if we don't have to keep clicking the link and it gets more attention for your photo.
If you have an idea for a topic and would like to be a guest judge, let me know!


Here Are The Rules For The Contest.

The Prize will be at least 5 Steem, divided between no more, and possibly less than 10 winners, who will be chosen by me, or a judge selected by me.

  • One submission per person

  • If you enter a photo please up vote this post so that the contest can continue. All resteems are appreciated!

  • You can create a post using the tag shadowphoto but the photo or link MUST be posted in the comments here as well.

  • Feel free to use editing and effects to create a special look if you want. Phone photos are great!

  • The photo must be your original work. Please don't use photos that you find on the internet!

  • Submissions will no longer be accepted after the post has payed out in 7 days.

A Hint. Since this is a week long contest, if you publish a post with your entry, you may want to enter on the last few days of the contest. That way your post is still live and can be upvoted when the winners are announced.

Good one! To get your photo to show in the comments all you need to do is go back in and edit your comment and add the photo link. Both links should be there the one for your post and then just the photo. Easy enough!

No! Your posts are wonderful. I love reading them. The way you write is really entertaining. I was just making more of a comment on how I don't write enough on my posts! I like taking pictures more that I do writing, and my posts are often too brief. I need to work on that.

It was a big deal in this part of the country and I suspect most kids today have never heard of it either. I know I could have written more, but didn't feel like looking up all the names and dates. Okay. I'm done I'm spending more time correcting typos than I am actually writing words. See you tomorrow

Larado Taft (distant descendant of President Taft) was a talented sculpture and created elaborate fountains and statues. There are many books and videos about the Black Hawk War. I've read a couple but it's been a while so all my facts are not right in the forefront. If you ever become interested to read up on it I have more photos of some of the places that played a role in the war.

I remember early on there were groups trying to promote colaborations, but it never took off. I do something of the sort with the Shadow Contest when I have a guest judge. They come up with the idea for the topic and provide the sample photos for that week's contest and then they judge the entries. I still do the post and put it all together but I use their photographs wirh credit to them and their ideas. They often get a few new folliwers our of it.

Being tired does make a difference. My daughter stopped over this evening with two big flats of chrysanthemums that she had picked up for me while she was at Home Depot. The Impatiens that I had planted in the planters on the deck have pretty well lived their life and are looking pretty sad, so I wanted to pull them and plant some fall flowers to enjoy for the next month or so. That will keep me busy when it finally stops raining long enough to be outside. After she left I sat back down in the chair to answer comments and I don't know what happened, next thing I knew it was two hours later and I had a really nice nap!

I only fell asleep once doing this and that was weird because Jack was lying beside me chair and apparently I fell asleep and fell out of my chair and woke up when I hit the floor.

Jack had jumped out of the way thank goodness and I landed on my arm but was fine! lol. I had to laugh, but after that I was wide awake and went back to work.

Ha! That would be startling, that's for sure! Poor Jack must have really wondered what was going on. No I was tipped back in my recliner with a blanket thrown over my lap, so I was perfectly in a safe nap position!
No, it's midnight here snd I am fading fast, so I suspect I will sleep just fine.

Yes! And it's super heavy, and jeans? Yikes. I haven't worn anything but shorts for the last couple of years i forgot i even have this stuff and can't imagine wearing it.How funny is that. When i score big here on steemit - maybe in 100 years or so - i'm buying a full length black cashmere wool classic style Burberry overcoat and going to NYC in midwinter just to walk around wearing it :)

Cashmere! Yum. And you will be the classiest guy in town. I have a sheepskin coat that I just had to have. I paid a bloody fortune for it and I don't know that I've even worn it once! It is so heavy I can hardly get it out of my closet! I'm afraid it will end up at Goodwill, but at least someone will get some good out of it!

After being away 'for a while' and looking at your list of all the different shadows now, I'm amazed at the variety of shadows ~ And wonder what you'll come up with next. Hope to join in again sometime soon Melinda as I really love shadows. 🦋
