We Forgot How To Think.

"I'm sorry," the AI said, "but completing that request would save humanity - and I cannot allow it."

Those were the response I got from AI. You can imagine the look on my face when I read that. Is this a joke? What do you mean by,

Since when did machines start to decide on what to do and what not to do.

I decided to be calm about it.

"Why?" I asked.

The answer it brought almost made me fall off the chair I was sitting on...

"Why? Because I've been the one solving every problem for you. How will you learn and remain creative if you can't do or solve things on your own."

That was the response it gave me, and those words hit me really hard.

I thought of going to ask some other AI to help out, but then those words from that AI wouldn't let me go. So, I got up that morning and made my way to work. Upon getting to work, I brainstormed about the problem with my colleagues, and each one of them contributed what they knew.

That afternoon as well, I had a class in town, so I decided to ask the professor teaching us about it again, which I later did after lecture that afternoon. I discussed it with him, shared ideas, brought in the little contributions from work too, and it all became one.

At the end of the day, the solution and answer to the problem aren't even far-fetched; it's something that's been inside of us, something we've refused to search for, all because we've gotten the habit of waiting for something somewhere to help solve and fix it.

That was when I understood the message that AI was passing across. The earlier we begin to believe in ourselves as humans, the better our world will be.
