Are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: Different from Each Other?//Mcgi Topic Review ( part 1)
Greetings everyone, and welcome to my blog. It is another wonderful opportunity to listen to the word of God through His servant, Bro. Eli Soriano.
Many people hold different views concerning the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Some teach that they are merely different manifestations or offices of one person, while others believe they are distinct persons who work in perfect unity. A careful study of the Scriptures reveals that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct from one another.
One of the clearest examples is found in Matthew 3:16–17. When Jesus was baptized, He came up out of the water, and the heavens were opened to Him. He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting upon Him. At the same moment, a voice from heaven declared, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
This event demonstrates the presence of all three simultaneously. Jesus, the Son, was standing in the Jordan River. The Holy Spirit was descending upon Him. Meanwhile, the Father was speaking from heaven. Each was present and active, yet they occupied different positions and performed different roles at the same time.
The baptism of Jesus therefore provides strong biblical evidence that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are not the same individual acting in different ways. Rather, they are distinct persons who interact with one another. The Father speaks, the Son is baptized, and the Holy Spirit descends upon Him.
As believers study the Scriptures, they can see that the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is revealed throughout the Bible. Though distinct, they work together in complete harmony to accomplish God's purpose and plan for humanity.
