El Insomnio de la Luna / The Moon's Insomnia
La Luna estaba cansada
y descansar no lograba,
tomó un libro para leer en la madrugada
y ver si sueño le daba.
Pero, no durmió
y con angustia se levantó,
de la casa salió,
debía buscar una solución.
The Moon was tired
and couldn't fall asleep,
so she picked up a book to read in the early morning
to see if it would lull her to sleep.
But she didn't fall asleep,
and she got up, feeling anxious.
She left the house;
she had to find a solution.
Regresó un tiempo después,
con algo difícil de creer,
una televisión compró está vez,
para un vídeo relajante ver.
La solución, no sirvió
y la Luna dormir no logró,
hacia arriba miró
y otra idea se le ocurrió.
He came back a little while later,
with something hard to believe,
this time he’d bought a TV,
to watch a relaxing video.
The solution didn’t work,
and the Moon still couldn’t fall asleep,
so she looked up
and another idea came to her.
Trajo un azul antifaz
y cubrió sus ojos con afán,
sin luz, podrá descansar
y el sueño conciliar.
Y, ¡lo logró!
la Luna el insomnio venció,
dormida quedó,
y solo un antifaz azul necesitó.
She brought a blue eye mask
and eagerly covered her eyes;
without light, she’ll be able to rest
and drift off to sleep.
And she did it!
The Moon overcame her insomnia,
she fell asleep,
and all it took was a blue eye mask.
