[Magelang, Indonesia] Omahkopi Borobudur A Cozy Little Corner Coffee Shop

So, our journey will start backwards. This time, I'll take you to reminisce my experience working from a cafe called Omahkopi Borobudur. This place is neatly tucked just a mile from Borobudur temple.

Omahkopi Borobudur is not a big cafe unlike the ones in the area but its charming on its own way. I have seen this place multiple time as I passed through while driving to Borobudur but only that day I had the luxury of checking out the place. The chairs aren't normally the typical chairs you'd find. Its aesthetic is more into brutalism and modern with steel chairs that aren't so comfortable to work from but somehow, it does for me.

Their menu selection is not as varied as many other establishment but it doesn't overwhelm you as a customer. I ended up choosing the breakfast deal which I paid for $3 for the cappuccino and the croissant. I did not expect to also receive a pack of biscuit for it. The coffee was pretty decent and I ended up staying until it was lunch time.

The luch was another story. After I got a morning boost, I ordered their set menu of Americano with Chicken Rice Sambal. It was a deal on its own as well and I ended up staying for about 7 hours in the place spending in total $6. These days, that amount is quite a bargain considering our current economy. But I was extremely productive, so I didn't mind.

Sometimes, a small establishment like this can be a cozy place to work from. Whenever I go alone or try to work from a cafe, I'd pick either a small cozy corner or a chain coffee shops where they do not bother me if I only spend $3 but stays for hours on end.

I thought coffee shops experience has lost its charm but I am trying some of the smaller ones and I ended up finding good cafe all around. To me now, it's no longer about just the coffee but also how cozy and productive a space can make me feel. Though, due to recent economy, I try to properly budget my coffee spending as I can no longer freely spend on it.
