"The Diary of a Red Army Officer" by Sergiusz Piasecki.

I think it's a great book for the anniversary of the imposition of martial law in Poland.

I'm not sure if this is a correct place to follow-up discussion, but here is the book I was recommending about the morality and philosophy: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58484901-how-to-be-perfect (too long for a book club, but I'd gladly discuss it with anyone).
And the series which was the inspiration for Schur to write this book: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4955642/

I also mentioned a movie based on Stephen King's book "The Mist" which had an interesting ending connected to the one in the book we read: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0884328

I'll be out of Kraków next time you meet, but will try to read the chosen book anyway. Cheers!
