Freechain Update - Distribution News
It has been a busy few months for Freechain, and we have some exciting news to share across three fronts.
Al Jazeera Screening
Freechain has been broadcast on Al Jazeera. This is a significant milestone for the film, reaching one of the world's most watched news and documentary networks with a global audience in the tens of millions. We are working on getting photo documentation to share with the community. We will post as soon as we have it. For a documentary about financial freedom and decentralization to land on a broadcaster of this scale is something we are genuinely proud of.
Filmart Hong Kong
Our agent Galloping Entertainment recently attended Filmart in Hong Kong, one of Asia's most important film and television markets. The response to Freechain was encouraging, three distributors are currently evaluating the film with a view to acquisition. We cannot share names at this stage, but conversations are active and we are cautiously optimistic. Breaking into Asian markets would be a major step forward for the film's reach, and we will keep you updated as those discussions develop.
Educational Platform Deal
Last month we closed a deal with an educational platform that will bring Freechain into universities around the world. The goal is for the film to serve as a learning resource on topics like blockchain technology, decentralization, financial power, and community governance, subjects that are increasingly relevant in academic settings. It appears some Hive community members have already noticed it being listed in a few places like a Canadian university where it has been found, which is exciting to see happening so quickly after the deal was signed.
Looking Ahead
Three different distribution channels, broadcast television, international film markets, and academic platforms all showing meaningful progress. None of this happens without the community that backed this project from the beginning, and we want to make sure you hear about every step forward as it happens. More updates to follow.
For any future sales listed here if they happen and once I see the profits from the educational platform ill start sending back funds to the DHF.
