Stories to tell (ENG / ESP)

Working with children is always a pretext that makes me happy. I love spending time with them, doing activities or simply reading them a story; and that's what I do every Wednesday at "Laura's House" or "the little house", as we affectionately call it.

I love motivating them with the stories I bring them and share. I confess that I started simply reading, but over time I have gotten to know them better and we almost, almost dramatized the stories.

I always try to recreate the story in a way that makes them feel involved, and that makes them laugh and makes me very happy.

These images that I share with you are from last Wednesday. The chosen story was The Leaf Thief, by Alis Jemin. I made them together with Dylan (who helped me by making the headbands with the images of the animals that we used to make the narration more interactive), to characterize each character in this little story.

The previous week it occurred to me to draw a mountain on a piece of cardboard and make some holes in which they would place the animals as the plot developed.
At the end of the story, I invite you to recreate the story with a craft related to it and, then, we finish in the yard with a fun game.

This month we are talking about friendship as a value that we must take care of; That's why the stories I'm working on always make reference to how important friends are: how we should understand them, respect them, help them, share and enjoy every moment with them.

Thank you for dedicating this time to me. If you have any suggestions or ideas that help me enrich the meetings, I will be reading them here.

A hug and may the day always surprise you with a smile.
