liketu is live - a new photo-first Hive app

The new liketu is live at https://liketu.net.

If you remember the old liketu, this is its sequel.

We rebuilt the photo-first experience for Hive from the ground up around how people actually share, browse, and remember content in 2026: a faster web app, an edge-to-edge feed that lets the photograph carry the page, and a posting flow that gets out of your way so the photo can do the work.

What stayed the same

Your Hive identity is still the foundation.

There is no liketu account separate from your Hive account, and there never will be. Sign in with Hive Keychain or your posting key, and your follow graph, your post history, your reputation, and your wallet all come with you.

liketu has never been a separate network. It is a window onto Hive - and the new app makes that more obvious, not less.

What's new

• A faster web app. The old build struggled on mobile. The new liketu is mobile-first by default, with the desktop experience built around the same rhythm: familiar gestures, clear tap targets, and a feed that stays fast.
• A photo-first feed. Photos go edge to edge. The interface recedes. Captions, comments, votes, and follows are still right where you expect them, but they no longer compete with the photograph.
• Posting that doesn't interrupt. Add your photos, write your story, and publish. Drafts persist, your Hive account signs the post, and liketu never stores your posting key.
• Voice posts and rooms. When a photo is not enough, you can speak. Rooms are fully transcribed live audio sessions that are published on Hive as a comment when the call ends, giving the conversation a permanent on-chain home owned by the host.
• Wallet, market, and stats inherit the same shell. No separate finance brand. No separate analytics dashboard. Wallet is just where the numbers live.

How to post in 3 steps

1. Choose your photos.
2. Write your story.
3. Publish to Hive.

That's the entire learning curve. Everything else — votes, comments, follows, wallet - is on the surface where you need it.

Launch challenge

We're running a launch challenge for the first ten days. It's a referral-and-retention contest, not a photo contest — bring new photographers onto liketu through your referral link, and your score is the average D7 / D30 active-user count across everyone you bring in.

Top sponsors split the prize pool, paid out on-chain.

This is the same metric we will use for ambassadors long-term in the growth console, so the launch leaderboard reflects the system we will keep using after launch.

They came with you.

Open https://liketu.net, sign in with the same Hive account, and your work is there. Nothing to migrate. Nothing to recover.
