The K-Drama That Made Me Fall in Love with Korean Dramas
If someone had asked me which k-drama made me to love k-drama . I honestly didn't understand the hype around them. I thought they were probably just another type of TV series. That changed completely when I watched "The King's Daughter, Soo Baek-hyang".

I came across this drama when I visited a friend who is a k-drama lover. At first, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a historical drama because I usually preferred modern stories. But after watching a few episodes, I found myself completely hooked. Before I knew it, I was staying up late just to watch one more episode.
What drew me in the most was the story of Soo Baek-hyang herself. She wasn't a perfect character, and that's one of the reasons I loved her. She went through so many struggles, heartbreaks, and difficult decisions, yet she remained strong and kind. Watching her journey felt emotional because I found myself rooting for her every step of the way.
The drama also surprised me with how many emotions it made me feel. One moment I would be smiling, and the next I would be frustrated, angry, or even close to tears. The characters felt real, and their relationships weren't always simple. There were secrets, betrayals, sacrifices, and moments that made my heart ache.
My favorite scene is the moment Soo Baek-hyang discovers the truth about who she really is. I still remember how emotional that scene was for me. Everything she believed about her life suddenly changed. You could see the shock and pain on her face, and it felt so genuine that I couldn't help feeling emotional too. It wasn't just about learning that she had royal blood; it was about realizing that her entire life had been built on hidden truths.
What made that scene even more powerful was knowing everything she had already gone through before reaching that moment. Instead of breaking down completely, she found the strength to face reality and move forward. That was the moment when I truly admired her character.
Another thing I loved about this drama was the beautiful historical setting. The costumes, the palace scenes, and the traditions made the story feel rich and immersive. Even though the drama has many episodes, I never felt bored because there was always something happening.
Even today, whenever someone asks me which K-drama made me fall in love with the genre, my answer is always the same: The King's Daughter, Soo Baek-hyang. It will always have a special place in my heart because it was the beginning of my K-drama journey.
Thank for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
