Congratulations to the following winner(s) of the bounty!

@dougbudlong has earned 1.385 STEEM. 1.371 STEEM from the creator of the bounty and 0.014 STEEM from the community! Find more bounties here and become a bounty hunter.
@oclinton has earned 0.37 STEEM. 0.35 STEEM from the creator of the bounty and 0.02 STEEM from the community! Find more bounties here and become a bounty hunter.
Sounds like it works the same way as @steem-bounty, where people put bounties and the answers/content that get most upvotes receives the bounty. Money looks like comes from those who put up the bounty.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. Ignore this. Looks like what I said above is not accurate.
I´m glad you brought it up because I had completely overlooked Cent.
You may have intended to bring answers over to your Cent post but before I comb through T& C, wallet detail, etc.. here is what I found as a newcomer :
First lead-
Medium Nov. 30 2017 - Our Vision
In our whitepaper, we go into detail about our yet-to-be-released platform token, CENT. At a high level, CENT is an (ERC-20) token issued to users when they bounty something. The larger the bounty, the more CENT you receive. It’s more complex than that, but on a basic level, this issuance model incentivizes users to continually add significant bounties to the system.
So I wondered why a scavenger hunt should be necessary. I expected to find a link to this whitepaper reference.
Based on the ¨about¨ page on their site, which I am expecting will be up to date, there isn´t one, or it is not being shared publicly: https://cent.co/about
Ok, well Progress / timeline indicates that development came to a halt in February 2018. It´s too soon for a newcomer to feel dis-satisfied, and good chance that followers are kept in the loop (?) but if true, why abandon a live website unless you no longer welcome curiosity?
Bounty function is and has been in beta. Are they up to something incredibly ¨huge¨ or does being in beta, with whitepaper in review for thirteen months have some advantages? I´m not especially savvy with these things. I´m just thinking out loud.
It appears to be a very simple idea. It´s appealing much like Steem-bounty but we are told that beyond the surface appearance, ¨It´s more complex than that¨.
I ask myself- How much doing do we do every day, without truly knowing what we are doing-providing-giving-supporting-being part of- in a comprehensive understanding kind of way?
I may have missed something so if someone can fill in the gaps, please bring it on.
I think I understand why you ask the question. Raising inquiry might have more value than a satisfying answer, if few have access to the required information.
No complaint from me. I would rather deal with the unknown than be stuck in a state of Conclusion.
I was intrigued by the project and spent some 40-50 minutes trying to dig something good reading as much as possible and the conclusion I reached was that these guys are a bunch of asshats. The closest thing to a whitepaper I could find was the short Medium Blog which basically look like an overextended one pager with some product updates and attempts to hype things markting to the general masses:
We are moving towards a world where networks are the predominant sources of connective, rather than substantive value. Cent is built on the notion that the connective value of a network is what should earn it profits, but the substantive value — the content coming from individuals within the networks — should be redirected autonomously to the users within the network who benefit most from that value.
Cent derives its name from the fact that it runs on these two core principles — in(cent)ivization and de(cent)ralization.
It allows people to “request” anything of the network and provide a financial bounty in ETH
A key differentiator of our system was that the userbase (not the requester) voted on which responses get the bounty.
Basically these asshats are conflating the voting system of STEEM and @steem-bounty
Few More Facts
The team is just 2 people + 7 Advisers
According to https://cent.co/about the project has been around since February 2017 But:
The only on-chain action a user performs is depositing. For everything else, the user simply passes us signed, single-use authorization messages. The Cent admins submit these messages on-chain, performing actions on behalf of the user such as debiting their wallet.
Many of the concepts introduced in the Cent Wallet are inspired by state channels. Our wallet is a simplified instantiation of the concept — Cent operates a custodial hub that routes payments between users.

Finally I'd like to share this response from Co-Founder & CEO
They are not as simple as @steem-bounty and the UI seems good for mobile but it's really subpar for desktop. Personally I wouldn't trust these people to tokenize a lemonade stand.
Sorry if I wasted your time. I just couldn't find the most important details. Even the reddit page is basically worthless. On the bright side you can grab some ETH which has real value at the moment. According to http://beta.cent.co.cutestat.com the web traffic level are lower than that of @dlike
You just got a 4.96% upvote from SteemPlus!
To get higher upvotes, earn more SteemPlus Points (SPP). On your Steemit wallet, check your SPP balance and click on "How to earn SPP?" to find out all the ways to earn.
If you're not using SteemPlus yet, please check our last posts in here to see the many ways in which SteemPlus can improve your Steem experience on Steemit and Busy.
I got the answer you are looking for @knircky.

What is sorting?
Sorting, or picking the best of two responses presented to you at one time, is the main action by which the best responses get curated to the top for more users to see. Additionally, sorting determines how the bounty is distributed across responses.
How do I sort replies for ETH?
Select the 'Sortable' filter on the main feed.
Click to view the post and scroll down below the post until you see the "SORT FOR ETH" button and click it.
You will be presented with pair sets of 2 replies each. Simply click the arrow that indicates which reply you think is "better."
20% of every bounty gets distributed amongst every user that sorts any replies based on the proportion of total number of individual sorts they've made in relation to the total number of sorts overall.
It model look similar to curation model that we are using here. Only disadvantage there that need to tip with ETH (reduction of your money) and here your SP is used to vote othr and you do not decrease your steem.
@knircky has set 5.000 STEEM bounty on this post!
