Yes, lucky me i didn't join them but was tempted and hesitated. Because in crypro world nothing is true when it comes to easy money.
But they did swallow my bch which was a free gift from holding btc. Not much just a few bucks i think.

I tried to warn so many people of this scam, but all I would receive is hate. Very little sympathy for those who loss money.

A lot of people lost money to bitconnect, I have friend that did.

So Bitconnect's ghost still haunts us till this day. Also I've seen those promo videos before and if I didn't know better I probably been convinced as well. Those videos can easily convince people looking to get rich quickly. Anyways, thanks for the interesting news on Bitconnect.

This is really coming as a shock to me because i did a month back after all options I weighed though i knew it wasnt having a base line but when you are a risk taker you want to try something new but not the fact i took the risk wisely by starting with the least amount just to try hiw solid it was but ere I am hearing stories of scam and the rest. If you look closer at their logo, they did show a sign that your money will evaporate

It is really a sad thing when other humans seek to extort other people of their hard earned money. It is really hard to make money and some people just find easy to take just like that no guilty conscience or anything. I watched a few videos of how some people lost everything from bitconnect. Its really terrible. There is another similar program like bitconnect called USI TECH, can anyone comment on this whether it is a ponzi or legit? I know network marketing is a legit business but there are also a lot of ponzis attached to these models. I could not find much information about USI TECH and The TECH COIN.

I was watching this whole drama of Bitconnect. Even try to warn some of my friends about it, but it was futile. Some of them lost a great deal of money, but even now they still believe the project will get on its feet again. How sad.

We should stay connected to each other so that if we smell anything fishy we should immediately warn each other and then others

It was just so obvious to me from the start that it was a scam. Good grief; they used an actual picture of a pyramid to explain their payment model! Yet even with all the warning signs that it was both a pyramid scheme AND a ponzi scheme, it was useless convincing anyone who had already invested. Why? Desperation and greed make for a powerful intoxicant, that's why.

Anyway, I honestly laughed out loud when I first saw the headline for this post in my feed. I used to live in Indonesia and I'll tell you a funny little story this brought to mind.

So I was living in Indonesia for a year, having arrived with just an (at that time) 2 month tourist visa. So I had to go to Singapore every 2 months to get a new tourist visa, which was an expensive and inconvenient trip to keep making. Some long-time expats put me on to this service where they would get a 6 month business visa for you allowing you to do 6 months at a time instead of 2. So I did this, only every month I had to go there to get a 1 month extension on my 6 month visa actually remaining active.

Well long-story short, every month there were new prices and new hoops to jump through. It was always a surprise what it was going to take each month I went to reup. So finally I get fed up and decide to give them a piece of my American mind, LOL. So I start telling them this is no way to run a business. They need to have fixed prices and post them, and if everyone has to go through the same hoops all the time, why not write that up and tell people so they can plan ahead.

They just smiled and nodded. Years later it hit me. I was in that country illegally, they were essentially the mob, and they never knew what they were going to need to ask me for a month in advance because they had no way of knowing what bribe the govt. official they were working with was going to demand.

So basically, I was criticizing the mob on poor business practices. LOL. I'm happy to say I've become a little less "Americans abroad" over the years since. 😀

Anyway, it may not be so strange that bitconnect is still going strong in Indonesia.

@trevonjb was a great role moddel or so I thought until Bitconnect, but then again the game we play is a challenging one. Making quick cash never comes without grave risk.

When i heard of bitconnect, from the first day I had no interest in it and i told my friends not to join. Just to hear about their sudden fall.
Accept my sympathy for people who were affected.

This was one of the biggest Ponzi scheme .which scammed a tons of people money .but after the crazy crash if it to 0.23$ again some scammers started to fool people to buy this & wanted them to invest more in it .which is a very sad part of it .

Unfortunately cryptocurrencies or should I say, a lack of crypto knowledge is used to get around legal issues. Ie how do we get around registering securities? Just get people to pay in bitcoin... this only works for a short time and only because people are not familiar with the laws around it eventually catches up and people get caught out.
Follow the laws and do the right thing regardless of whether something is purchased in fiat currency, cryptocurrencies or bananas

Next to no sensitivity for the individuals who misfortune cash.It was simply so clear to me from the begin that it was a trick. , it may not be strange to the point that bitconnect is as yet going solid .I attempted to caution such a large number of individuals of this trick, yet all I would get is despise.

people comited suicide over this bitconnect stuff. i wrote an article about self regulation in the crypto space if we do it big brother wont over regulate.

It didn't take a genius to know that this was a scam from the beginning. Anyone promising you guaranteed outrageous returns is probably lying. In general, if a business or crypto (or any type of investment for that matter) has high potential for profit, there's almost always a significant risk involved as well. It's always a delicate balance of risk versus reward.

I had come to know about bitconnect just 10 days before they did exit scam. It was scam from the start. Many tried to warn investors but no one listened. They all got blinded by greed.

It seems like BitConnect's bureau in Indonesia, not Bitconnect's central headquarters that happens to be in Indonesia.
Still a good find and a good share, and I learned from here that the BCC in Binance is BCH.
The naming is confusing.

A lot of people lost a lot of money due to their own greed I sincerely hope that some of the youtube promoters are held accountable as they have made thousands if not millions of other peoples misfortune.
