Painting with only my mouse while I wait for a new HDMI cable

Part 2 of setting up a new computer!

I am mostly good to go for day to day stuff on the new comp but I ran into one final snag, I tried to add my graphics monitor as a second screen since it is very important to my workflow. Turns out HDMI port #2 is set into the case in a way that blocks the cord from going in all the way :( It is possible to unplug the main monitor and plug in the other one but it's a bit annoying so I ordered a slim HDMI cable that will hopefully be coming soon.

In the meantime I decided to explore my paint/art apps and played around using just my mouse. Normally I do everything with my pen like drawing, cutting out images and cleaning them up by hand for collages and I feel clunky as hell with the mouse LOL.

I was painting this while customizing all my favorite brushes to my liking:

The app I am using here is PaintStorm studio which is a one time purchase of about 25$ and well worth it IMO. It has one of the best brush engines I have come across in terms of getting cool paint textures and you can mix paint using dirty mode as well. It only has basic image editing abilities so I will be using affinity for that which is also a bit of a learning curve.

I invited @vachemorte to add a layer and this was the final image <3

Here's another one I was experimenting with. If you zoom in on the image you can really see the oil paint type textures with brushstrokes. I am excited to get my HDMII cable so I don't feel like I have two left hands just using the mouse!
