You are, of course, free to do as you wish. However, after the EIP changes of HF 21 / 22, you are likely to find rewarding yourself will draw unwelcome attention to your posts. Your choice to make.
The EIP changes are related to the Hard Fork early last September @josegaldame. You should read up on it. It had 3 different changes to how we are compensated here on our Steem blockchain. One of them was downvotes, that are being applied where posts are being rewarded for something other than good content. Such as in your case, purchasing upvotes for yourself.
You would do much better to try and find, engage with and help build up a community with which you have something in common.
