I had a very awkward moment when I saw a cacao plant and its owners saw me and, contrary to what I expected, they gave me two of those plants

Grateful to share a new post here in the #hivegarden community where I'm showing you some great photos I took earlier this week. I went with my cousin to help him carry some things since he had a trip lined up to earn some extra money 🤑🤑 which is always welcome. While we were loading up, they offered us some water, and while we were resting, I saw a cacao plant in their yard. I took the opportunity to get closer and take some great photos because it's not very common to see them planted like that in houses, and even less so at that size.

I took the pictures, and well, in the first one, the sun didn't seem to help me focus the photo properly. In the other one, which was just of the plant, I did much better. When I got closer, I saw that the plant had some small fruits, and looking a little closer at the branches, I could see that it already had two yellow cacao pods. Since I don't know anything about this plant, I could only take the pictures. Then the owners of the property saw me. I felt really embarrassed and apologized for intruding, but contrary to what I expected, they said it didn't matter, but it was impossible for me to continue.

To my surprise, as we were leaving, the owner of the house called me over and asked if I wanted a cacao plant. He went to the other side of the house and came back with two plants in individual pots. I was very embarrassed, because many people are bothered by them, but in this case, they were very kind to me. When I explained what I was going to do with the photos, they didn't quite understand, but they said it was fine. So, when I got home, I took these photos, which I'm sharing now. It's the first time I've ever had a cacao plant, so I need to find out how to plant them first, as well as where to plant them, since unfortunately we don't have the right soil here at home. Also, since it's an open space, there's a risk that someone might take the plant or its fruit, if it has any, but I'll get to that later.

Although I took the photos, I felt really embarrassed, even though I wasn't doing anything wrong. Many people don't like it when people take pictures of their house, but luckily for me, they understood. Not only were they not bothered, but they gave me two plants. They're definitely great people, so I hope their harvest is very good.
