Hey All,

NSE-IPO-Allotment-Issued.png

As promised that I would be updating on my status for the NSE IPO - Initial Public Offering Applied. And the good news is that I was alloted the NSE [National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.] shares. On 23rd, September, I received an email from my stock broker - Mirae Asset Sharekhan with Subject line - "PARAS, Big News: You're a NSE Shareholder". Upon checking the email it stated that my IPO allotment was successfully confirmed and the NSE shares can be checked in the DMAT account. They also wished me, saying that moments like these deserve a celebration and that at Mirae Asset Sharekhan, they love turning your success into even more opportunities. But I guess there is no celebration as such, as the NSE got listed yesterday and it didn’t open at a very high premium. It just barely got listed around 3% higher than its IPO price, which isn’t really that great and doesn’t exactly call for a celebration. Here is the snapshot of my stock portfolio where the allocation is shown sector wise, the recent addition of NSE shares makes it to the financial secotor which is 1.23% of the overall portfolio.

NSE Shares Alloted - What NexT?

Currently the stock [National Stock Exchange Of India Ltd] is trading around ₹ 1,798 and whereas as the IPO allotment was for ₹ 1,785/- so there is hardly any difference seen applying via the IPO. Right now anyone can buy the share at a similar price to the IPO and I have a gut feeling that the price may even come down looking at overall financial market conditions where the momentum is bearish. My plan ahead is to buy more shares of NSE and bring the total to atleast having 20 shares of it, so yeah need to buy another 12 shares but before I buy them I would be looking at a price of Rs.1700/- or even lower. So lets see how NSE trades in upcoming trading sessions from here on.

Some things that I like about this share is around FIIs having a good stake in it, which is like above 25% and DIIs also mainatins stake of above 28% with LIC [Life Insurance Corporation Of India] only holding close to 11% of the shares..Not that bad at ALL. And we know the fact that LIC is a long term holder so definately there is something cooking up here. I am not going to sell until I make like 30% profit from here. Apart from that it is l argest stock exchange in the India across key trading segments and if we look at its peers which is BSE [Bombay Stock Exchange] is trading around INR. 3,173. I think there is still a big room for NSE to grow and reach much higher levels. Of course, how far and how quickly it reaches there is something only time will tell. For now this should be it for todays post on - "NSE IPO - Initial Public Offering Applied - I got the SHAREs - What NexT? - Lets Explore..." Happy Investing... Cheers
